The Wig Looks Too Real
Bonnie Hunt made fun of Kim from "The Not Really Housewives of Altanta" on her show and she was pretty much dead on except for a few things. Bonnie's wig doesn't look like it was wrestled away from a rabid possum. And Bonnie looks a little too young to play Kim. She should have worn this mask.

Once, I had to visit a shepherd (yes, they still exist) at his ranch in Fresno County. The rams were so docile; the ewes were very aggressive and kept head-butting anyone who got near the lambs. The shepherd told me that once rutting season was over the rams quieted down but the ewes were fiercely protective of the lambs.

I have a 16 year old cat and she still kicks ass. No teeth though. She came like that from the pound. Her roommate is 10 years old. I call them the golden girls. Anyways when I adopt cats, I always look for the old ladies first. They deserve a second chance. But what makes old lady cats really special is that they are characters and have gone through most of the lessons in life.

. - If the vet has done blood work and nothing unusual shows up in the liver or kidneys, plants are usually ruled out. They thought at first my Fig had maybe eaten a bad plant because he had crystals (almost like one would find in a human poisoned by anti-freeze) in the tests. They flushed his kidneys and then ruled out plant life.

. - SB=SkyBitch. Sorry for the confusing initials. Hmmm, strange the vet can't find anything wrong. I have a cat who last summer was throwing up after almost every meal and losing weight, I just started to switch around various dry foods and started buying different varieties of canned and she got better (Clawdia turned 14 in August) on her own. I had her at the vet and he said sometimes their foods can start to make them ill and variety is a good thing. Shots too on the older ones sometimes mess with their systems when they are older. I keep all of mine up to date as well and btwn the cats, dog, Frontline, Advantage flea meds and grooming, I shell out close to $2,500 a year just at the vet without any 911's. That doesn't even include food, toys, bedding, etc.
I will pay anything for the pets- People, not so much. DListed was a great place to come for laughs the day poor Fig passed. Hope you Kitty continues to improve.

Well I'm so sorry to hear about your little guy. I had more than my fair share of cats die on me. I had a Siamese die of renal failure and it was one of the worst times in my life. I hope St. Francis watches out for him.

No! That's what's weird. We had bloodwork done up on him and his kidneys and liver are functioning fine. We don't know if he's addicted to eating some weird plants or something when we let him 'out' or what? He staggers and his eyes have always been the typical doofus Siamese-crossed-eyes but his sense of balance is definitely all whack. He's definitely sick though and we are at the point that he doesn't have too long to live whatever he's got [cancer maybe]? It's so frustrating. UGH.
