That man is a genius on par with Kubrick. Damn, "Days of Heaven" did something to me. I was pregnant and having insomnia and started watching that shit at 2am and I was so sucked into that movie, I swear I could smell and feel what was happening on the screen. I wept like a baby, and thought about it for days afterward. It was a beautiful film. Fucking genius. I'm afraid to watch "The Thin Red Line" because I hate movies about war, and knowing what that man does to my emotions, I might be a basket case if I watched it.
