It's So Hard To Say Goodbye.....
Now I know why the Boyz II Men song "It's So Hard To Say Goodbye" was written. It was written just so that I could serenade the live feed puppies next week when they leave the interwebs forever (well, almost forever). The owners of the Shiba Inu puppies posted a little note this past weekend saying our children are old enough to start going off to their new homes this weekend. Yes, this fucking weekend. Why don't we have a say in this?
And why do puppies have to grow? WHY?!!!! Obviously, God created puppies, but he did not intend them to become dogs. No, he did not. He wants them to remain puppies forever. Puppies that entertain us 24-hours a day on the internets by licking each other's assholes and biting at each other's eyeballs. The other day, I think I saw one of them commit attempted murder on another one. It was really fucking adorable.
Anyway, here's the little heartbreaking note the owners left:
a few people have been asking about when the pups will start leaving our home. Sorry to say that the first couple pups will likely start going to their new homes next weekend.Do note that my wife and I *have* decided to keep one of the litter (yay!) so we'll likely have the webcam positioned in different rooms so you can tune in and watch the pup grow. =)
And finally, regarding Ustream... the founders have generously offered to give each of the pups new owners a webcam. While we'd like to thank John and Brad for their offer we would like to point out that acceptance will be up to the decision of each individual owner. There are privacy and other concerns that each owner needs to think about before embarking on such a decision.
The truth of the matter is: I want to see PUPPIES!!! PUPPIES!! PUPPIES! I don't want to see dogs. I have one of those dog things at home and I already stare at him all day. I stare at him so much that lately he gives me the side-eye and then turns around so that his ass is facing me.
I don't know how I'm going to deal with life when they finally leave. I just want to open the window and wail this song:

Would I be happy if all the world adopted a mutt? Of course! Unfortunately, there are people out that there that want a pure breed. Nature of the human beast.
Reputable breeders, while yes, do it partially for the money, also do it for love of the breed.
Puppy mills are purely a cash business with back to back pregnancies, inadequate space and care.
I am all for animals rights, but come on...

My Jack Russell had puppies in July and I swear those things were perverts. I caught them several times sucking on the mal puppies wangs. I guess I shouldn't have kept them in my bedroom! lol
Maybe I'm dense and don't know what I'm talking about, but I'm pretty sure a family breeder is a little different than a puppy mill. They love their dogs and don't own them solely to sell their puppies. That is the main difference right there.
well, at least i got to watch one of them drink its own urine today. it will remain a treasured moment for me always.

People will see these puppie cams, get the puppy and forget that they grow up to be dogs - and more dogs will end up in shelters --- or DEAD.
Puppies for Profit = Puppy Mill. I don't care how well fed or happy these dogs seem, they were bred to MAKE MONEY.

I'm so sad! Last night I saw four people in with the puppies and the sound was turned off. I'm positive they were plotting which little puppy is leaving first. I started crying, which is just crazy.

HAHAHA! Someone make sure to load an extra slug for my head. The puppy cam is the only thing killing my pain with this pneumonia. My friend brought in his lap top so I can wait them, since TeeVee sucks in the hospital. And MK, toy breed dogs are just bitches. All of them. I have an Italian Greyhoud, who has perfected the side eye-heavy sigh-turns ass/back to me into a mad science. Probably the only reason he still hangs around is I have thumbs, and he can't work the can opener.

My doggy was sooo cute as a puppy, too. I wish he didn't have to grow up! He's cute now, too, though, even as an 80 lb fireball of energy. But it's not the same. They grow WAY too fast.
