The Party Is Over For O.J.
Well, the party isn't completely over. I'm sure he'll have a few "Drop the Soap" parties in the chokey during the next 6 years or so. A judge has sentenced him to at least 15 years for robbing a ho with a gun in Las Vegas. He will most likely serve at least 9 years.
Before being sentenced, O.J. cried crocodile tears and told the court, "I just wanted my personal things. I was stupid. I'm sorry. I didn't know I was doing anything illegal. I thought I was confronting friends. I thought I was retrieving my things. I didn't mean to hurt anybody and I didn't mean to steal anything."
Well, it looks like O.J.'s next role is in a remake of Leaving Las Vegas called Leaving Las Vegas In 9 Years Or More.
And I'll bet my entire Mother's Circus Animal Cookies stash that Christie Prody no longer has anymore "accidents." Not in the next 9 years anyway.

No worries with me! I let everyone say whatever they like, as long as they allow me the same. The Browns are in a diff boat than the Goldmans, since Nicole voluntarily chose to date and marry the guy and have his kids. Ron Goldman was just trying to hook up with a divorced woman--a fatal mistake, but he didn't voluntarily involve himself with OJ. He's like a mostly innocent bystander.
I worked for several years in Brentwood (same block as Mezzaluna) and we used to see OJ and Nicole walking around. Her condo was a tourist trap for years afterward. Drivers would stop dead on Bundy to gape at it.

Not the sister, nor anyone else in the family. Just him. It's just an impression I get from him. I actually do feel awful saying it, but I was just wondering if anyone else out there felt the same way. In my everyday life, I consider the feelings of others and try to refrain from passing "judgement", but this is just a vibe I get from him. You may disagree and that's fine, but I'm in no way callous. I'm just voicing an impression that I cannot shirk off.

I guess you've talked to other people raising similar children? Are there any success stories you can use as models?
...well as you know Michael Phelps and Ty Pennington are out there talking about ADHD and being successful. You'd be surprised how many famous people have an ADHD label. But then you also have people like Britney Spears and Paris Hilton claiming it too. Bottom line, is it's not an excuse anyway, just something to be aware of. The biggest thing for me is making sure he understands that he has to take responsibility for what he does....which is something he is not at all good at. And I don't intend to have no Laterrian Milton type kid around me...
He could have bashed his eye out or killed himself today when he smacked his head running full tilt into a metal pole, and he and I are very lucky...
But it just astounds me to see people who consistently do or act or say things that are stupid or nasty and don't want to accept any responsibility for their shit, and I do wonder if there is just something in them when they are born to make them behave the way they do because otherwise it makes no sense.
Like I said OJ is really not a stupid man, but the sheer amount of stupid things he says and does is just beyond astounding.
