What I meant was that he played exactly by the rules, but someone who didn't know they were allowed to listen to the audience might mistake it for cheating. All he did was listen to the right screaming voice.

If you have to specify that someone's not "technically" cheating - they're cheating. Always.

I also understand that Drew was told simply that "he's cheating, but we haven't figured out how yet". No wonder he was so low-key.

The dude didn't technically cheat -- you're allowed to listen to the audience and one of those rabid fans was in the audience. He listened to that guy and he was smart to do so.

It's like Hell's Kitchen where some sow was ragging on another contestant for knowing the secret ingredient for a recipe because she owned the cookbook with that recipe. Um, once you get accepted on the show, you'd be an idiot not to read his cookbooks and practice your risotto.

Cheating would be to unfairly seek out information or do something not allowed in the rules. Listening to a guy off the street who knows his Showcase amounts isn't cheating.

Yea, alcohol makes me ball my eyes out on occassion...weed makes me feel better...even though people have told me it will set me back. It relaxes me, but I gotta do it illegally, which sucks, and I don't do it all the time cuz it's expensive.

Despite whether this was rigged or not, I still fuckin hate Drew Carey as Bob Barker's replacement. He sucks hard! He is a disgrace to the Barker legacy. WTF were they thinking in giving that clown the job. It is obviously too BIG for him to handle. He doesn't have the same charisma, flare and charm that Barker brought to the game. He has sunk that show.

I use to watch that show every chance I got over the last 15 years and stopped the minute Carey took over. There were soooo many more respectable, likable people that could have followed in Barker's steps. One person that immediately comes to mind is the dude that hosts AFV & Dancing With The Stars. He would have been perfect!

Ah, it wasn't rigged. Ah, Drew Carey was just pissed because he knew the guy had basically been cheating. I found this comment on the best week ever site; it explains a lot:

Miss Priss - I suffer from Panic Attacks as well. I hated the meds (tried a few) and I either slept at my desk or felt robotic which depressed me and made it worse. I agree that exercise helps immensely, diet is a huge help too.
Unfortunately (or perhaps not), bad (fun) little things like alcohol, sugar, smoking, caffeien can set you back huge. Even in the smallest measure. I have found B vitamins and fish oil to be a huge help. That's just me, so I don't know.

If Bob Barker were dead, he would be rolling in his grave. I was a huge fan of TPIR over the years and had no idea why they would pick someone like Drew Carey to host after Bob. I did try to watch it a few times to give it a shot, but it is completely unwatchable now. A great show ruined.

Honestly, I think they are so desperate for attention, that they rigged this. They need to do something to helped that sinking ship.

Wow. Drew Carey was ecstatic in that clip. He has solidified himself as one of the greatest game show hosts in history.

OK, in Jim Carry's defense...I suffer from panic attacks and have been diganosed with a chemical imbalance...I took prozac for about a year and they actually made me feel worse. All I wanted to do was sleep and I gained a lot of weight. I got off the meds and started working out, I feel better now, and I'm in shape! I have not had a panic attack in a long time, and I try to fight my depression without meds. I think it's been working for me, believe it or not.

I am not against depression drugs at all, if they can help you, then great, but for me they don't work...I hope Jim isn't a scientololoon because I lurvs him

One of the weirdest things I ever saw was on TPIR. They have this game where you guess the price of two items within 30 seconds, you give a price and Bob would go "higher" or "lower" until you zeroed in on the right price.

This woman just called out numbers with no pattern or strategy whatsoever. She'd be way off, one way or the other and then she'd say the exact price of the item. Totally random numbers like 2500 (lower), 450 (higher), 687 (higher), 749 (ding ding ding ding). She did it twice. I sat there and said "WTF just happened???"

Brendan Fraser was in the UK and on the Graham Norton show last week. He was really embarrassing - so completely needy of attention. It was just cringe-worthy. And how in the world someone so ugly got to be in so many movies is beyond me.

I have no fucking life. I have been watching TPIR finale with my lunch since about 1979. When I hear that theme song, it's like Pavlov's dogs, my tummy starts a-growlin.
Anyhoo, I was watching that yesterday thinking the broad overbid. I was shocked when she was so close, but when the peepaw was spot-on it was almost anticlimactic.
The thing that bugs me the most about TPIR is when the announcer says "A NEW CARRRRR!" and puts about 3 syllables in the word car.
Saw Drew once at a two-drink minumum place in Pittsburgh. He was pretty cool.
