It's DJ AM's Turn To Sue
Travis Barker already filed a lawsuit against people he claims were at fault for the plane crash that left with him burns and killed two of his friends. DJ AM has followed his lead and filed his own lawsuit in Los Angeles yesterday.
TMZ says DJ AM is suing the estates of the two pilots who died in the crash as well as Clay Lacy Aviation, Global Exec Aviation, Inter Travel & Services Inc, Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co, and Learjet.
In his lawsuit, DJ AM claims when the pilots reached takeoff speed, they knew shit was going down after one of the tires blew out. Instead of taking off, the pilots decided to quit the takeoff, causing the plane to crash and burst into flames. The suit says this was a bad decision made by the pilots.
DJ AM wants cash money for pain, suffering, lost earnings, property damage, punitive damages and past and future health-related expenses. Shit. I got tired just typing all that shit he's suing for.
Damn. I can understand suing companies and shit, but suing the estates of the pilots? I wonder if the pilots left behind any kids that need food, clothes and a roof over their heads. It seems a little extreme to try to fuck with the families, but I don't know the details and shit, so I will leave it at that.

Who knows if the pilots made any mistake at all! They made what I'm sure was a "split decision" in a matter of a couple of seconds...I have no problem with them suing anything other then the dead pilots estates. What about their families that may have lost their "breadwinner"...
This is a pretty crappy move on his part. Way to stick the knife in, bitch.
I don't think they should sue anyone, least of all the dead pilots, but I know why their lawyers would do it: you want to wrap up as much insurance and assets as possible; the pilots are likely to have assets and life insurance; the pilots might have been directly negligent in ways that the leasing co and tire manufacturer weren't (hence the claim they shouldn't have aborted the takeoff); etc.
But it isn't really necessary, since the leasing co or whoever hired the pilots would have to answer for their negligence anyway.
Punitive damages means that DJ AM claims that someone acted with malice (i.e., intentionally wrong). I don't see that here.
Unless it was deliberate.. around my way it's called...
AN ACCIDENT!
Bitches should be thankful that they are able to spend the holidays breathing! There are a few families in this situation whose relatives don't have this privilege.
This is not about apportioning blame, it's about trying to take money from someone else because shit happened. Unless there was some clear negligence on the part of the immediate companies involved... leave it alone and get on with your life.
--thanks awfully--
i dont know all the details either, but suing the pilots sounds like a seriously disgusting display of greed on their parts. good, let him fall & lose whatever respect he had (since everyone says what a great guy he is..ha) then all his gigs can go to samro...then again since she is so "exhausted" i am not sure she can handle it.
greedy bastard
so...the plane crash was actually a cleverly disguised suicide pact by the pilots who KNEW they would die when they took off?

I dont think, I drink.
He should not sue the grieving families, seems like a low blow.
Between two evils, I always pick the one I never tried before.
I think both of them could make enough money in a couple of years to cover the expenses. Leave the estates alone for the families.
BTW, jussayin, I am so jealous of the kitty side-eye!! ha ha ha ha!!!
Merry Christmas bitches!!!

Say hello to yo mutha for me.
What a dick. So the families of the pilots who were killed get the shittiest Christmas EVER, their lives will never be the same - but this douche needs to make sure he can be surrounded by everything money can buy to make him feel like he might add up to something worthwhile.
What an asshole. Nicole and Shanna dodged a few bullets there.

I bet the pilots also feel it was a bad decision...I'm sure they said let's crash into this enbankment and we'll die but we'll leave two douchebags behind. Totally bad decision!
too bad they are not around to sue the tire company...

THROW THE SHOE AT THE BUSH!!
why not sue the schools that taught the piolets and the persons responsible for giving them their licenses?
Thanks to all of you that voted for me.. now it's "wait and see" as to who the winner is!
Thanks again!!!
The pilots were "negligent" in not taking off when a tyre blew, right?
So instead of crashing at a lower speed - which may well have saved DJ Douchenozzle's life - I guess they should have travelled on to their destination with blown tyres and crashed at high speed, potentially killing ALL on board.
Unless DJ AM is claiming he has the power to do in-flight repairs to landing gear, I don't see how his suit has a leg to stand on.
I concur with all previous comments. Fuck with the companies, fine, but fucking with the pilots estates is just fucked.
I agree Michael K. This seems pretty low.
I could never do that no matter what. What happened happened.
Precious little DJ AM got burned -- screw the families of the dead pilots, right?
What an asshole. Fuck the both of them.
Such a cuttie. His photos were seen at milllionaire persoanals site ******* W e a l t h y D a t e r . c o m ****last week. It is said he is already in relationship with a young beautiful model woman on that site now. ?☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
Definitely not right to sue the estates of the pilots, they made a MISTAKE and they died for it, he shouldn't have to hurt their families even more.
Suing the companies I understand, they shouldn't have hired "bad" pilots in the first place and also should have had a better plane.
