Dear James Cialella, It's Not That Serious!
I will admit that when I'm watching a movie in a theater and some dumb ass whore is yapping away like they are sitting in their damn living room, I think to myself, "Damn. I want to turn this straw into a shank and stab this bitch in the mouth!" Well, some dude in Philadelphia had even worse thoughts and carried that shit out!
29-year-old James Joseph Cialella was arrested after he shot a dude in the damn arm for running his mouth during a showing of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button in Philadelphia on Christmas Day. I think James Joseph Cialella just became an honorary Brangaloonie for busting a bitch during Brad's movie!
Police say that James asked a family sitting in front of him to shut their damn mouths during the movie. They didn't stop, so he threw popcorn at their asses. When that didn't shut their mouth holes, James got up and approached the family. James had words with the father, the argument got physical and that's when he pulled out a gat and shot the man in his arm. After James put a bullet in the father's arm, he sat back down and continued to watch the movie like nothing happened. The victim was taken to the hospital and James was arrested. He was charged with with attempted murder, aggravated assault and weapons violations.
DAMN! Hood rat stuff to the extreme. Over Benjamin Button? I mean, what the fuck? Maybe James has a strange fetish for Brad Pitt in old face. I could see beating a ho over Showgirls or Marley & Me (BURN!!!), but Benjamin Button?! I swear, some people should not be allowed to leave the comfort of their own padded room. James shouldn't even be allowed to carry a watergun anymore. Talk about over-fucking-reacting.
This also serves as a warning to me, because I'm one of those bitches who tells whores to shut their fat lips during movies. I've been known to throw in a "Eat your tongue, cunt!" or "Shut the fuck up" to bitches who are ruining my theater going experience. The next time I do that shit, I could get shot in the arm! That must suck, laying there with a bleeding arm, thinking that the last thing you'll ever see is Brad Pitt with pepaw face. Sad!

I wish people would use punctuation before rambling on. But now that you have enlightened us maria1080 I am happy that Jimmy wasn't the one who started it. And remind me to stay the hell out of your neighborhood movie theatre. Crazy shit goin on in there.
The true story is that the man that got shot smacked a woman in the face and was fighting with other "movie goers"... when jimmy tried to break the fight up he was jumped by five men..Not counting the ones that were just walking by and stomping on him just because they wanted to. And when his sister went to break it up she was also jumped.. Jimmy had no choice but to fire his gun.. If not he and his siter would be in the hospital right now. And he turned HIMSELF in!!!! He walked up to the first cop he seen outside of the theater and TURNED HIMSELF IN!! I really wish everyone would get the story right before they start with their judgements.

lol yep that was a warning
Mikey HONEY! I luv me sum of you... really i do. but i have to side on Mr. Theater-rage.
I can't take it when I'm sitting in a theater & some puerto-rican/dominican/black family is sitting there yapping - or worse talking on their cell - as if it aint no thing!
Beyond fucking RUDE... I just wish I could serve on that jury cuz he'd not only get acquitted but I'd celebrate his ass with a quiet little rim job as he watched another showing of Buttons (cuz you know now he has to go back to see the damn thing cuz some dumbass made him miss a section of the movie!)

Never mess with anyone when they have a peasant shaped bullet head and inbred crazy eyes like this guy because they have nothing to lose. The popcorn was a warning.
This is why I wait until shit comes out on DVD before I see it. That way I can sit in the comfort of my own living room and talk all I want without getting shot at (at first I typed "shit at" I don't know why I telling everyone about that, but that made me laugh)

While I don't condone gunfighting, I do understand this poor guy. I mean, he has probably spent the past year waiting for "Benjamin Button" to hit the theatres and some fool rains on his parade!! I don't blame him!!
He's probably out on probation by now or at least he will be by Monday. No sane constabulary would keep this great guy locked up.
Anyway, I don't go out to movies very often because of the talking/cellphone situation. And, when I do go it's usually the first show of the day rather than in the evening. I'm afraid I would pull a gun on some people also and I hate the thought of jail. (Actually, unless he has a previous record of violence, I doubt he will go to prison. He'll probably get probation, community service and have to pay restitution.)
P.S.: I enjoy both dlisted and justjared but I have to say some of the people on here are far worse than the people on JJ. Just my opinion. OK??
My pet peeve is when someone taps their damn foot. I hate that.

I can't help but snigger at this shit. I know that makes me a sick puppy but I fucking HATE it when people yammer all the way through a movie.
In fact, I once lost a boyfriend over it when I was 21 years old. These teenage boys were sitting behind us making smart remarks at the screen and I got pissed. So I kind of sat up on my seat, turned around until I was leaning right over at them (yeah, all 5 feet 4 and 50 kilos of me!) and snapped at them, 'If you don't shut THE FUCK UP I'm gonna call the usher and get you thrown out of the fucking cinema!'
What a charmer I was when I was a young lass.

That's what I thought in the begining, and then I thought you were a guy. Which isn't bad to be a guy "chicken" because my husband will NEVER watch a horror movie either. Which leaves me sitting by myself....alone and spooked.
ha ha I make one of my kids stay awake or at least sleep on the coach if I watch anything even remotely scarey I am so much of a chook lol.
I used to force myself to watch horror movies since I'm almost always by myself. now, they don't bother me plus I grew up in the 80s so I really don't think there are good horror movies anymore. Most of them nowadays want to gross you out not scare you.
As for the Brangeloonie, he has no remorse so I'msure he got to watch the rest of the movie in peace and quiet before the cops came. Mission accomplished.

LOL - you're cute! Stay away from "Silence". I will admit this - I did not see "Hostel" or "Saw" so I am not a full fledged Horror kind of gal.
If you like pleasant movies I suggest "DogFight" with River Phoenix. I just saw it the other night and it was cute. No blood or guts, I promise.
My 1/2 lil sis is a horror queen, i think she got that gene from her bully ol' man, lol- i am a big chicken I admit. I always ask the chicks at the place I hire from, "will I have nightmares?", man how much of a pussy am I??? Maybe it's because I don't have a "strong partener" to hold onto but I really am a big chook, lol. I even said to one girl whom I have begun to know " if I get scared I am goimg to ring you and make you come watch this movie with me". bark bark bark bark bark lol. This is gonna sound really uppity but I live in Miami and I HATE IT that it's 80 degrees right now. I want to to be much colder. Everybody thinks Im crazy. Im just sick of the heat.
Miffed, watch those movies with a partner. Manhunter and Silence are more psychological with Silence having a bit more gore but Red Dragon does go for the ugh factor since it was directed by Douche Ratner, Hannibal..... I can't begin to tell you why they made that movie. Also the sequel to Silence, which I can't remember the name of, never happened in my mind so I can't tell you about that one. You can IMDB them though and read the boards. It'll give you a better idea

Deb, we're in Virginia, and the weather is just as freaky here. Record lows earlier in the week, then Christmas Day it moved into the 60s. Now it's raining and still relatively warm. No tornado watches yet, but they're coming, I'll bet.

Thank you. Someone else filled me in on another thread. I can see the lunacy and I'm too old for the nonsense. I come here to snark and read the snarks. Lots of funny people here.
More than twenty years ago, a friend of mine and I were talking during a movie and not aware of how loud we were. A gentleman spoke to us very nicely about it, and I was so ashamed I would have taped my mouth shut if tape had been handy. Ever since then, I keep quiet in a film.

What really burns my ass is people's lack of cell phone etiquette at landscape design/horticulture seminars and workshops. I attend a good amount every year.
EVERY time, the host will remind people to turn off their cell phones before the lecture, and at least 2 phones ring anyway. THEN, they have to get up, disturb everyone in their aisle, had leave to take the call.

I agree. The best audience reaction was "Silence of the Lambs" it made the movie that much more scary for me. When I watched it on DVD or should I say VHS, it didn't have the same punch. Same with the "Passion of the Christ"
I think alot of the trouble has to do with the fact that there aren't ushers anymore. When I was a kid the ushers would come in and keep things quiet.
