Hot Slut Of The Day!
Allen Fawcett - The host of one of my favorite game shows of the 80s, Puttin' On The Hits. I wanted to be on that shit so bad when I was little. I even rehearsed my own routine to Papa Don't Preach. It was not hot. Below is a clip of Allen introducing some chicks lip-synching to The Jets. Why can't it be the 80s again?
For Chastity

fabulous feathered hair then...and now...

whoa...amber is the color of your energy...
oh man what memories! Back then the big deal was to be in the talent show and lip synch. We did it to the song "Nine to Five" and of course the girl who played Dolly was so overstuffed it wasn't even funny. LOL
I totally wore the Tina Yothers look. Long black blazer, leggings, ankle boots, Brightly colored shirt untucked with a broche. Big NJ mall hair.
PotH was a big show for those of us without cable. Does anyone from the tri-state area remember New York Hot tracks on Friday night? How about Friday Night Videos on WNBC ch 4?
MK you never fail to bring back childhood memories. I love you so much!
The Jets were the shit back in the day. Not quite the Jacksons but very fucking close. Where are they now? I hope they're not all dead. There was a whole bunch of those fuckers.

Here's what "John Roberts" of CNN looked like when he was "JD Roberts" on MuchMusic (Canada's version of MTV) in 86:

Kiss my grits.
I miss the 80's and Puttin' On The Hits! Audiences were so easy to please back then. Lol!
They should bring it back and let the guy from Milli Vanilli host.
I miss this show. Loved the act that lip synched to Dougie Fresh's The Show, and the group that did Sheila E. *sigh* I miss the 80's, but not junior high when this was on TV.
Michael, you are the funniest guy on the planet. Love all that you do, especially with this crazy stuff!
gawd. how do you remember this stuff, michael??
my sister and used to love this mess. and alan fawcett had the strangest twinkly eyes. when i was 12, i thought that was "charming". now that i'm older, i know it's "columbian marching powder".
I don't know which is the hotter slut..the dude or his ultra dentures.
Between two evils, I always pick the one I never tried before.
You KNOW Stacy, Debbie and Stacy still have those outfits. They probably still know that damn routine.
I dreamed of the day I could be on this show...
My song vehicle was "How Will I Know?" by Whitney Houston... complete with my cousin as a gypsy lady. *wiping tears* Yet another dream left unrealized...
Speaking of broken dreams, did anyone see Confessions of a Teen Idol last night? That dude Billy from Fame! was on... It was all too much 80's overload!
Can't say I remember this show; man, I missed out.

Love me or hate me
It's still an obsession
Love me or hate me
That is the question
And if you love me then 'thank you'
And if you hate me then 'f--- you'
Oh my god! I just had a flashback to when my older cousins smoked too much meth and started showing off their dance moves.
HELL YES, I miss the 80's.
I loved this show too. And I saw The Jets live in concert. I had a crush on the redheaded one, Eugene. Why was the rest of the family Samoan and he looked Irish?
MK, my 8th grade cheerleading squad had a dance we did to Papa Don't Preach. People were so naive back then, neither us or the school found it odd that we were dancing to a song about teen pregnancy HAA.
And on that note, in the 3rd grade talent show, I sang Olivia Newton John's "Make a Move On Me". HAAAA
What's all this love for the 80s??? It must be a kiddie-memory thing. I was in my 20s, AND HATED IT.
I used to have a HyperColor shirt in the 80's...anyone remember them?
OMG, one of my favorite shows!!!! My sister, our two friends, and I desperately wanted to be on that show. We even made up a routine to "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go." But, alas, our grand plans never came to fruition. Still, I loved that fuckin' show.

Blinded by the veneers!!
That said, I used to love some stirrup pants...with ankle boots. Oversized shirts covered a multitude of sins.

MK you always bring back the forgotten memories of my "youths" *sob sob*

Kiss my grits.
my eyes, my eyes!
let's just let the 80's rest, shall we? I can't take glow in the dark clothes again...

It's been too long...we miss you.
I never realized Allen Fawcett was so creepy until now. Is he related to Farah?
When those girls said their ages my jaw dropped, I thought they were all at least in their mid to late 20's!!
I love the leggings & the gold lamme foil tops...totally Katie Holmes & Lindsay Lohan like.
polka dot shirts, Hammer pants, jellybean shoes, madonna hair bows and lace Prince gloves!
He totally shaves that section between his eyebrows. You could land a plane there!
Ahhahha.... "Debbie, Stacy, and Stacy". It's like a bad 80's movie.
Also, I think the host ended up sleeping with Debbie, Stacy, and Stacy.
MK I love youuuu! I miss the 80's it was all so cheezy and simpler then!! sadness :(
Good morning MK-Boo and everyone. Froze my ass off last night in downtown DC. The 80's were the shit, weren't they?
I loved - LOVED this show! The Literal Translation in the coreography at 1:15 is CLASSIC Puttin' on the Hits.

MK I had COMPLETELY forgotten about that show! What a hot mess! The 80's were so great...we should rally to bring back Puttin' On the Hits, only Allen Fawcett would need that wonderful hair. What a show!
I LOVED that show!!! I remember some chick that won she lipsynced "Let the music play" by Shannon and I still can't believe she won!
Actually, my Daddy was a professional lipsyncher back in the day. Unfortunately, you couldn't get famous back then for that.
In other news: DAYUM! Look at those hos go!

"We fucked up, let us in the club."
I remember the song, but don't remember the show.
I used to stay home to watch this shit and still managed to have a life.
