OMG! OMG! OMG! Michelle Obama Is Wearing A Dress! OMG!
Earlier I was watching the Today show and when Michelle Obama stepped out wearing this outfit, everyone started dissecting this shit from top to bottom. It was like a really annoying episode of What Not To Wear but with Matt Lauer rolling his eyes in the background. Yeah, he's so above it. But seriously, they wondered if she was wearing a vest underneath. Some bitch also asked if the color of her dress matched the carpet in one of the rooms in the White House. WTF. I'm surprised they didn't ponder what color underwear she had on. When she shows up to the ball tonight, everyone's going to spontaneously combust. I hope she shows up in a blinding hot pink pantsuit with exquisite lucite heels on. That would seriously kill some people.
Anyway, if you care, she's wearing a Toledo! That's the designer. Toleeeedo! It's a dress. And I bring you this news because it's the most important piece of information today. IMPORTANT.
And now, we can all go back to watching Big Brother: DC. Seriously, they are following the Obamas around everywhere. I feel like I'm one of their stalkers!

having degrees and money are all well and good but sorry i think that spending thousands of dollars on name brand dresses for your daughters is leading them down the road to being materialistic and shallow adults. even barak was outraged and told her to take some of the dresses back because it was too much. it doesn't look good and its just wrong to start children off that way. its about values nothing more.

Camilla's dress was much more, it was beautiful. People are correct. Mrs. O needs to stand up straight and smile and she needs to refine her gait. The slouching thing is probably a carry over from always being the tallest when she was young. She needs to shed that look....fast!

I have never thought of puke as a color. Interesting. Shoes don't match anything and then she whips out a third color green for her gloves. I had a Sunday school teacher that would wear purple, or orange or green, and every piece she had on, hat, gloves, dress or skirt/blouse, coat, shoes, jewelry, was a slightly different shade. I think my neurosis to have things match started with her.
Michelle isn't graceful. She doesn't walk, she clomps. She should lead with her thigh.
It has to be said : Michelle needs to learn how to stand up straight and smile!! Damn. She never looks happy and is constantly hunched over. Is she trying to downplay her height next to her husband? This has got to be one of the happiest days of their lives and she looks uptight and serious. Where's the joy?
The dress, the dress, the dress.... She is NO Jackie Kennedy. The matching coat with the tacky colored dress just looks bad and dated. Is that a scarf or a built in sweater attached to the dress? A fashion icon she is not. Bottom line: Show more of him and LESS of her.
Finally we'll see honor and dignity restored to the White House!

Let's face it. The first lady is CHUNKY! She's built like OJ Simpson.
Fuck that shit, Mrs.Biden is the coolest bitch at these festivities. Shit Michelle and Cindy McCain's outfits look similar, Michelle's just more glittery. Mrs. Biden should have worn a boss leather jacket to to with boots. She gets an A+ for not looking like every other woman at the function.
The dress is killin' it...seriously. I didn't see this when I made my "open post" comment, but now that I think of it, the mini-me that she looks like she's smuggling is probably some bullet proofing. The thing is, she isn't svelte enough to have that many layers underneath and NOT look like she's smuggling a midget (little person).
Mrs Obama is a strong and educated woman. Thats good enough for me.

Nah, Palin's face is square and mannish; she is not pretty. Michelle has a sweet face, and unlike Palin, she is beautiful and kind on the inside.
I think this is a GORGEOUS family.
Michelle is beautiful. Their children are both absolutely *gorgeous*, and Obama is regal looking man.
I think the dress is fine. I wasn't crazy about the olive green gloves she had on, but the dress -- I like it.

Mr. Prez was very nervous reciting the oath but managed to shake it off and give a great, inspiring speech. The poet sucked, Aretha's chi chis need their own zip code, the Warren preacher man was oddly uninspiring and the crusty old preacher at the end rocked.

I missed Aretha! I was so sad about that. I got to see Obama's wonderful speech, the awful poet, and "...Yellow Be Mellow!" (big smiles all around the office after his speech.)
Mrs. Obama's dress is peculiar. I think the color is very nice on her, but she's too young to be draped in curtains like that. (I know it was cold as hell there, but there's got to be a prettier coat somewhere in the world).

What the First Lady wears on Inauguration day, goes down in history! It will stand in the Smithsonium along with her ball gown that she wears tonight. That being said, one does not wear sequins or bling around the neck during the day!!!! It was awful!!

I think the First Lady - ahhh, how lovely to say that in reference to Mrs. Obama! - looked attractive and I didn't really care what she was wearing. It's sad that the focus of some Americans were on her looks and her apparel on today, of all days. Shows we have a long way to go, but at least we're going it with President Obama!
