My brother is terrified of clowns, I used to have this laughing clown, you would pull the string and it would cackle. It was hilarious to make it laugh around my brother. He would cower in fear and scream and cry to my mom. I know I'm a terrible sister...but I was maybe 8 years old when I used to do that so whatever. My mom eventually threw the clown away, but it was actually the fact that we were allowed to watch Poltergeist that made my brother scared of the stupid doll in the first place!

I don't find clowns scary or creepy - I find them fucking annoying! Especially the ones that run around on the street and want to come up to you and get in your face. And you'd really like to to slap the bitch but you can't because that's assault. That's the only thing I find evil about them: they know they can get away with fucking with you and you can't do anything about it. I could never understand what's supposed to be so funny about that.
I like the Spitzle blog. It's creepy in a good way.
People have mentioned Pennywise. That freaked me out. I don't even like Tim Curry anymore because of it.
And --the clown in Poltergeist? Why don't I remember a clown? I remember skeletons in the swimming pool, attacking JoBeth Williams...but a clown? Help me here.

I have a friend who is afraid of clowns. One Halloween her younger sister thought it would be funny to dress up like a clown and wait for her at the top of the stairs with a kitchen knife. I also have a male friend who is so afraid of roaches that he freezes up if he sees one. He can't even bring himself to get near enough to kill one. I'm glad I don't have any phobias.

I never had an phobia but I developed a fear of clowns in my mind-twenties. Now, I seriously freak the fuck out when I see an image of one, kinda stiffen up, go into my self, it just scares the fuck outta me and then god what what, I'll try to smack a bitch or be reduced to tears. Here in Seattle, there's a woman that dresses like a clown, I think she's actually called the Rainbow Lady, and she come in the Trader Joe's I used to work out. I'd quit that bitch and go to the back until a coworker told me she'd left. No fucking way. Clowns and those creepy-ass porcelain dolls. Hell to the no.

Pennywise is the only clown I'm actually scared of. All other clowns I just find strange, not scary. I mean who would actually choose to be a clown in life? I just don't get it. I also don't get why they're considered children's entertainment though, I can see why kids would be scared of clowns...I see a clown & my first thought is paedophile.
I feared the Pillsbury Dough Boy as a child. I couldn't understand why people were pinching his tummy making him smile, and than they would eat him. It freaked me out as a kid. I still can't watch the commercials. I don't cry about it, but it's just one of those "psycho" things I deal with...
