It's time for your daily eyeball workout. You know, optometrists should really keep one of Kanye West's epic blog posts in their office. If you can read the whole thing without blinking at least a million times, you have supersonic eye powers and scientists should study you.
The most prolific poet of the blog world has returned with another treasure. Kanye just keeps delivering shiny gems. He's given us: SQUID BRAINS, BITCH BOGUS, THAT BENJAMIN BUTTON'S SHIT, LET ME BE GREAT and now this work of art.
The whole thing will inspire you to throw Jesus off the cross to make room for Kanye, but this is my favorite quote (I've de-capped it for those who aren't fluent in Kanye):

I live in Paris and saw Kanye alone making his way out of a show. Paparazzi were here, nt for him, waiting stars like american, french actress. They suddenly saw Kanye and ran after him, shouting : "Usher, Usher, a photo please" Kanye was so pissed!
I only got past the first line when my eyes hollered, "UNCLE", but I did see his use of "dope people". DOPE?? Come into the new century, Kanye! Things haven't been "dope" since the 70's.

i get it...Trust me...i know what Christ meant and what K attempted to say; however, in the context of his whole essay, he contradicted his own self-proclaimed desire to act Christ-like on multiple occasions.
my point being is that most people living in the area where i'm from and where i still proudly live, take the Bible as "The Bible"...They are God-fearing people...the way he references Jesus can be very offensive to a person with a strict, literal interpretation of the Bible...most people where i live don't call Christ, "Christ"...His name is Jesus, there's a subtle difference in cultural meaning even in the two names.
As a lifelong Methodist (prolly not a very good one or i wouldn't be here), I am offended by the whole message of Kanye's commentary. I don't justify any of my boastful actions with "oh, well, Jesus will forgive me, so you should overlook that I just said how much smarter I am than you." What??? This is the stuff that gives Christianity a bad rap.
The ability to be humble is an important component to most religions and spirituality in general. In fact, it's just a good darn thing for any human to practice.
