There are people of all races who abuse their partners. It's disgusting. But where I see a huge difference is the number of African American women supporting Chris Brown right now on message boards. They're not twelve year old fan girls. They're middle aged women in some instances, and saying Rihanna broke a community code in talking to the cops. That's what's really messed up.

I guess it's because TI is a rapper, Chris Brown is not. R&B is his things. They sell different shit. You expect the rapper to have some bad reputation, whereas the R&B singer not. Besides, it's one thing to own guns and another to beat the shit outta your girlfriend who is even more famous than you and whose hit songs "Rehab" and "Disturbia", among others, are played nonstop on the radio. The fact that Chris Brown's camp hasn't said anything yet speaks volumes too. The evidence must be so overwhelming that they must still be trying to see how to spin this shit, which I might add, will be very difficult if not impossible.

For the anonymousss reporter above.. I read a newsbit earlier that said it was NOT Leona Lewis, and her rep confirmed that she was at a table with her family and long-time boyfriend. Rhianna introduced Chris to Leona, they said their hello's and that was the extent of it. *shrug*
But let me add something here..
Ok.. A few things.. Not that I support what Chris did, because I don't.. BUT.. I'm always the type to play devils advocate, to some extent. I don't understand why radio stations are shutting out his music when we live in a country where you are innocent until proven guilty (even though it all appears damning, I must say). And how many other celebrity singers who beat on their spouses/loved ones still have their music played on the radio? Google it. I already did. Not to mention, I love the fact that TI is commenting about this. He's about to do some time for his arrest on FEDERAL GUN CHARGES. The guy had machine guns! Do radio stations support this? Because everytime I turn on the radio, all I hear is "You can have whatever you like.."

Brown was seen speaking to Lewis at a pre-Grammy awards party in Los Angeles hours before the attack The Daily Mirror claims.
A source told the newspaper: "Rihanna saw Chris flirting. He and Leona were laughing and Rihanna saw his hand on the small of her back.
"It was totally innocent but it set Rihanna off."
The couple later left the party at LA's Beverly Hills Hilton and drove off in Brown's Lamborghini.
The unnamed source added: "Leona is very happy with her boyfriend Lou and it was totally innocent on her behalf. She wasn't flirting."
American website TMZ.com has reported that the couple argued over a text message Brown received from a mystery woman.
Police sources quoted on the website said the Umbrella singer, 20, lost consciousness during the alleged attack in the early hours of Sunday morning, as Brown choked her and screamed: "I'm going to kill you!"
One source said that Rihanna came round to find that her 19-year-old boyfriend had fled.
Brown later turned himself in to police, was charged with making criminal threats and released on $50,000 (£34,000) bail, although more charges may follow.
The Barbadian singer received medical treatment at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles for swelling and bruises after the argument with Brown in the early hours of Sunday morning.
In 2007, Brown claimed in an interview with American magazine Giant that his family had suffered domestic abuse at the hands of his stepfather.

Don't get me wrong here, but all these righteous ass declarations by some here just completely ignore the times we're living in. I mean we just got rid of an administration that just bankrupted the entire country's economy then gave more money to the very motherfuckers who showed no restraint in raiding the coffers. The CEO of a small peanut company knowingly sent out contaminated peanut products across the country, trying to make some money on his investment and came to Congress and pleaded the fifth. They can't do anything to him, at least not yet.
In a small township near the Univ. of Md. the mayor and his wife were the subject of a drug sting by the county swat team. They watched the couple, then set a package containing weed on their front porch. When the mayor's MIL picked it up and took it in the house, the swat moved in, broke down the door, shot both the couple's lab retrievers dead, one of which was described as a timid sort, it was shot in the back.
They didn't know this guy was mayor of the township. Police never checked his background else they would've found out who he was and that he never commited any crimes, ever. Those two dogs were like the couple's children. Preliminary reports say the swat team acted within accepted boundaries of their policies.
This is the world we live in.
