They're Not Talking, But Their Daddies Are
It's been basically a week since the RiRi/Brown beat down of 2009 and neither of them have said anything publicly. It was reported that Chris said some shit on his Facebook, but then that was shot down as a fake. Even though RiRi and Chris Brown aren't talking, their daddies are.
First up is RiRi's daddy, Ronald Fenty, who saw his daughter in Barbados on Thursday. Ronald told People: "There is some bruising. She will be alright. I think so. At some point, she will speak out. I hope she will stand up for women all over the world."
Oh, shit! NeNe from The Really Broke Housewives of Atlanta better pick up the phone and get RiRi on the line. This is the break her Twisted Hearts Foundation needs! As for Chris, his daddy, Clinton Brown, told People that his son is in Virginia and is oh-so-sowwy. The 44-year-old corrections officer went on to say, "He's reflecting on this situation. "He's very remorseful. He's very concerned about the situation and he wants to make sure that Rihanna's okay. This is unfortunate, this stumble, this situation. Hopefully, he will get past it. We all have our shortcomings. We all trip. If you are on his side, you are on his side. Just because someone trips, if you are truly a fan, you are not going to demonize him instantaneously. I don't know if it is true for everyone. But, when my cousin called the cops on her bf, they were both arrested. Everybody was trying to explain to them that he is always beating her and she was just trying to defend herself. He had some really bad scratches all over his face that she did with her fingernails. I mean, he was choking the hell out of her and she was trying to get him off. Both were arrested and that's the reason they gave us. Maybe it was because they were still going at it when the cops showed up and she was seen hitting him. IDK.
I guess it just depends on the situation.

It is good to wait until you have all the facts to make judgements, but at the same time, it is easy to put some things together with a little common sense. If he didn't do anything wrong, why did he run? Why did he just leave her there? If he was defending himself, for him to have beat her as bad as they say he did, then RiRi must have really been hitting him; therefore, he would have some bruises. If he had bruises he would not have went to jail. Whenever the police is called to a house for domestic violence, if both parties have bruises on them, they both go to jail for fighting. If only one has bruises, the other goes to jail.
Also, I don't think this is the first time he hit her. Domestic violence usually starts with a little push or slap, and eventually leds up to something like this. Sadly, I do think they will stay together because most do. This stuff can go on for years in a relationship and nobody would ever know about it. Most don't report it. If that stranger hadn't called the cops, I don't think we would be hearing about this.

Same here. I hope it isn't a chronic situation, too. It is just too stooooopid and fucked up to think she would allow it to happen to herself if it happened before.
Someone with her resources (people to protect them and the $$$$ to do/go wherever they want to or need to in order to get away) don't really have the luxury of saying they are "trapped". She is independently wealthy without him, it isn't like he controls her money and has any way to dictate her life.
I do believe that many women have a tough time escaping violent relationships, especially if they have no funds/family/friends to fall back on. But in Rihanna's case, I am highly skeptical of this possibility.
