KillBilly - I respectfully 100% disagree, some people have some sort of mental issue or other, some people are pretty well-balanced and healthy. It is my confirmed opinion that those people who seek fame for fame's sake, rather than becoming famous as a byproduct of their art or passion, are always deeply mentally unstable. I don't think anyone else would desire or need the level of attention - both positive and negative - that fame brings. Its always a desperate quest for self-validation in my book, where things go wrong for them is when they realise fame doesn't actually give them that, they still feel unworthy and have nowhere to go from there. Hence drug addiction, alocohol and more and more crazy acting out. Amy Winehouse, Lily Allen, Madonna, Angelina Jolie, Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan - all mental, all the same personality type and all ultimately doomed.
