The Golden Girls Goes To Turkey!
The people of Turkey now have something to cleanse the shame off of them after a drunken night of sucking strange peens in the bathrooms of raggedy bars. Nothing makes you laugh to keep from crying quite like an episode of The Golden Girls and now Turkey has their very own!
Variety says Turkey will air a 13-part mini-series of our beloved national treasure. The cast is above and I bet you a store-bought cheesecake that you can't name who is playing who.

Because national programs score 10 times better here. 50 Turkish channels and only 1 or 2 broadcasting in English with subtitles.. Hence me spending so much time on dlisted.com

the first episode is already on you-tube, and they were all beautiful when they were younger especially turkan soray who is my perdonal fave :)..but she is alot older than that pic posted! and i think someone else was mean to play blanche(emel sayin?)...
It's amusing to me that the dark haired woman is playing Rose and the other one is playing Blanche. However, in the original, pre-shoot casting for GG, Rue McClanahan was to play Rose and Betty White was cast as Blanche!

As the resident Turkish Dlister here, I'd like to clarify the casting logic here. These women have been the biggest stars in Turkey since they were 17,18 years old. They are legends here. We love them but word for word translated version I saw last night was not great at all. Still, I love me some Golden Girls...
