Evan Rachel Wood On True Blood
If you didn't watch the first season of True Blood, then Netflix that shit or suck a dick for a copy. That shit is good. I've been practically foaming at the ass (DON'T) for season 2 which starts in June. Well, Michael Ausiello says that Marilyn Manson's current bone polisher (they're back together, I hear) has signed up for 2 episodes.
Evan Rachel Wood will play Sophie-Anne, the 500-year-old Vampire Queen of Louisiana. In the books, Sophie-Anne is a 15-year-old French girl when she becomes a vampire.
Evan Rachel Wood looks like she sleeps in a buried coffin and she has the acting skills of a human body devoid of all working organs, so this sounds like a match to me! I just hope they dub her voice. I gladly put up with Anna Paquin's horrific cartoon-like Southern accent on that show, but I won't stand for Evan Rachel's! Bitch is probably going to sound like a Southern Count von Count. Dreadful!

Yeah, me too. I totally buy them as a couple and I like that this serious has a more dark tone than "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" did. But I have a special place in my heart for "Buffy." For some reason I think Evan would have a better southern accent than Anna. Anna's character annoys the hell outta me on that show, if it wasn't for the rest of the cast and the sex scenes, i wouldn't be watching.
Dunno about that. I'm a native North Carolinian and I can do a better Australian accent than I can a thick Southern one. Not everyone from The South has a strong accent, though, as there are many accents in The South.
I think Anna Paquin's accent is fine, as are most the characters'. I think the guy who plays her brother does a fantastic accent. Dude is from Australia, yet sounds like some guys with whom I grew up.

I tried reading the book after the first season and it didn't excite me much. I mean, I knew what was going to happen, so I was like, meh. The writing is excellent though.

Yeah, you have to really get into the characters to like the books. But, they are a fun read.
True Blood fleshes out small parts of the books, but does not go verbatim at all. So, maybe there is hope for Lafayette yet!
