American Idol: Who Will Be Crowned Prom Queen Tonight?
Isn't that gif the most precious thing you've ever seen? I just want to spread my no-no and give birth to it, so I can burp, rock and sing to it. It's that special. If your nipple holes aren't singing, then I don't know what to say to you. So.........
Tonight is finally the night where our misery ends and the prettiest girl at the party gets her sash and tiara! So who will it be? The glittery unicorn or the orgasm-faced coffee shop singer? Dial Idol says Kris has a teeny tiny lead, but their asses don't count text votes and they've been wrong a lot of this season. So take that with a grain of tang.
I could see it going either way. They are both very different creatures. Watching Glamberace perform is like getting your salad tossed by a fluttery fairy. Like last night, during his "Phantomess of the Opera" (good call, Simey) performance of "Mad Word," all that smoke didn't come from a machine. That shit came from Glamberace's magic hole! And if he wins tonight, a disco ball will pop out of his head and a chorus of 14k gold-plated elves will dance out of his peen hole. That's why no matter what happens, he should pack up all his Lip Service jeans and fly over to Las Vegas. The lights may short-circuit when he arrives, but that's where that bitch belongs. Only his "Steven Tyler getting castrated" screech could be heard over the millions of slot machines in Vegas. And really, his performances would be so much better with an open sundae buffet.
On to Kris.... Kris looks like he just came back from shooting a guest appearance on One Tree Hill where he played the dreamy college dude who can make pussays burst with his acoustic serenading (which he does nightly on the steps of the library). There was a time when I had to take a morning-after-pill after watching Kris' performance, because I thought his jizz faces were going to knock me up. So I understand why horny tweens would kill their cell phones voting for him. That's why it's a total toss-up for me. I could see it going either way.
When they opened up voting last night, why didn't they have a number where you could call and vote Kara DioSWALLOWYOURSELFWHOLEALREADY off the island?! I'm being serious! That fucking song she wrote for the finale should be the final nail in her coffin! It's like Michael Bolton's debut album ate a Hallmark Hall of Fame movie and shat that mess out. I just hope that when Glamberace gets crowned (okay, I admit that ho is going to win), Simon covers Kara in lube and makes Seacrest sit on her, so she can disappear forever. That's my only wish for tonight!

Adam's fans should not worry about him coming in second place. After all the only successful (and still temporarily) Idol winner was Kelly Clarkson. All runner ups were more successful for the last few seasons that the actual winner, and got to do better stuff and not so pre-fabricated industry vomited crap. So if Adam comes in second, you will truly see his art. Same for Kris. It's anyone's game at this point.

Eh, not really. If he doesn't win and 19E doesn't want to move ahead with an album for him anyway, he will have to wait awhile before he can sign with another record company. They have contracted appearances like the summer tour, but he won't be able to legally enter into another contract basically long enough for the show's hype to die down and he isn't able to ride the constant publicity train like he is currently. Sucky, but it's a business. Why would they basically make him a star and then let others profit off of it immediately? They wouldn't.
(Although I think even if he comes in second they would let him record an album. The contest is close and I can see him making a lot of money for 19E, so the point may be moot anyway.)

Eh. Taylor Hicks beat Katherine McPhee. I think looks play a role, as does talent, marketability, and that oh-so-elusive connection with the audience Kara is always droning on and on about, but I don't think there's any real 'formula' as to succeeding post-Idol. Some do, some don't. Clay Aiken is doing quite well, and he didn't win or have great looks. (And yes, he is doing 'subjectively' well - he is ranked 3rd and 4th out of everyone from AI in number of albums sold and has toured successfully, been on Broadway, etc.) I think Kris's biggest downfall is his lack of personality. He just doesn't have stage presence or charisma, and that to me makes him pretty forgettable, especially in the pantheon of what, 8 or 9 seasons now? Meh to Kris Allen!!!

It is always hard losing a pet, and I hate people who say "Think of the happy memories!" when really, it does nothing at the time but make you feel worse. Try not to think about it, and when you occasionally do your thoughts will turn more positive with time. If there are other dogs, concentrate your attention on them.
I liked Kara at the beginning of the season, but she's kinda annoying now. She started out giving really realistic and apt critiques, but as time went on she became just another shill for 19E, proclaiming every turd Danny laid up on that stage as "brilliant" along with the rest of them. Right. The finale song was fine, same cheesy "This is a special time in my life, my dreams are coming true!" ballad it always is. Adam sang it way better.
Is Kara coming back? I wonder how long she signed her contract for. Paula's is up after this season, and so far as I've heard they haven't renewed it yet! Are they trying to replace Paula with Kara? If so, FUCKING FAIL.
(I agree with those who are glad it's ending. Idol always stretches shit out about 3 or 4 weeks too long. I've been DVR-ing and fast-forwarding through anything that isn't a performance, judging critique, or result elimination. Blaah.)
