Enough With Don't Stop Believin'
"Don't Stop Believin'" is one of my favorite songs and obviously I'm very un-original, because it's everyone's favorite song. That song is eeeeeeeeverywhere. It's like the anthem of the damn world! Every bitch covers it! Every bitch also sings it at karaoke. Don't act like you haven't! I think it's the unspoken rule of life that you have to sing it publicly at least once. Ellen Page, Alia Shawkat and Har Mar Superstar of Whip It! decided they needed to follow that rule and uploaded their own version to YouTube.
I'm pretty sure this is supposed to suck in a completely ironic way. You know how those hipsters do it. I got through the whole thing, but it wasn't easy. Every time I hear this song I still think of that scene in Monster where a fugly-fied Charlize Theron and Alien Head Ricci awkwardly slow dance in the skating rink. So picturing that scene while listening to Ellen Page's "cat in heat" yodel totally confused me.
I just wish Ellen & Co. went with another Journey song that needs a little loving. Maybe "Only the Young." What's wrong with that song? Does it have big hips and an overbite? Is that why nobody pays it any attention? But I shouldn't talk.
I've tried to quit "Don't Stop Believin", but it's impossible! I tried to leave it and search for something else that hasn't been around the block a zillion times, but I can't!! I'm whipped.

The "kid" was a bitch during the entire thing and didn't learn anything from her being 'knocked up.' And her smart mouth attitude would not have been tolerated in my house. Hell nah. My Mom's family friend would have slapped the shit out of me (my Mom didn't believe in hitting). The movie was so unrealistic, it's not ever funny. I'm glad a former stripper got out of the business and received an OSCAR for her efforts, but I'm sure it wasn't because of the film. It was from the many academy voters who didn't want it known that they were strip club addicts.

I showed her Glee cuz I knew she wouldn't give poor Steve Perry a second look. I was wrong tho! She found him, while looking for glee, on Youtube and found a whole bunch of other Journey too! LOL! Open Arms, Who's Crying Now...she as much of a ham as I am! But she still likes Glee best of all.

YES! thank you for acknowledging that magical scene in "Monster." That was almost as good as the "Susudio" scene in "American Psycho." "Don't Stop Believin'" was my song that year and I couldn't get enough, and then the fucking Sopranos had to jack that shit and ruin it for the rest of my life. I now hate that fucking song. hate it hate it hate it and if I NEVER hear it again it will be too fucking soon.

God I hate this song now! My girlfriend and I rediscovered this about five years ago and had many good laughs over it, but then all of the sudden it became popular at the bars and every time it came on, the whole bar would bust out singing. It stopped being funny after the first 200 times. Meh. I did just watch Juno again last night. I love that movie.
