Farrah Fawcett Has Passed Away
After a long battle with cancer, Farrah Fawcett has passed away at the young age of 62. Ryan O'Neal and her good friend Alana Stewart were both at St. John's Health Center in Los Angeles with Farrah when she died. While leaving the hospital, Alana told ET, "I just lost my best friend. Her death was very peaceful."
Ryan released this statement: "After a long and brave battle with cancer, our beloved Farrah has passed away. Although this is an extremely difficult time for her family and friends, we take comfort in the beautiful times that we shared with Farrah over the years and the knowledge that her life brought joy to so many people around the world."
Farrah is survived by her 24-year-old son Redmond.
We were all expecting this, but it still brings the sads. Farrah was a funny, talented, vibrant and beautiful lady! And she had good hair. She had really good hair.
May Farrah rest in peace.... And this is totally cliche, but it's the only thing I can think of right now: Heaven gets another angel.

They're finding HPV virus is throat, head and neck cancers in males in 40-50 percent of cases. Growing the virus out of cancer cells, not just "down there".
I used to watch C.A. every week with my best friend - we must have been 13 or so when it first came on. We hated FFM so much! Teen girl jealousy is powerful stuff! She was everywhere, that stupid "Farrah Faucet" that they sold in magazines, the shampoo commercials, even her poster in Saturday Night Fever! She was pretty awful on Charlie's Angels, but then she went on to do better and better work... "The Burning Bed," "Small Sacrifices," what was that play she was in? Exposure, Exteriors, something with an Ex-....

Poor Farrah. I know this was expected, but just so tragic. Farrah was an icon, and at times viewed by the media in a negative light. That said, from those that know her closely, it seems as though she was just the opposite of how she has been portrayed. She was apparently a very kind and giving person, smart and funny and very well liked.
It is always so shocking to see someone so beautiful die to such an ugly disease. I hope her death only brings about more awareness of this horrific disease.
