Statements Pour In About The Death Of Michael Jackson

It seems that every celebrity on the planet has issued a statement about the passing of Michael Jackson. Seriously, every single. Below is just a few from those who worked with him or knew him well. Understandably, Elizabeth Taylor just can't deal right now, so her rep said she will issue a statement at a later time.

Brooke Shields: "My heart is overcome with sadness for the devastating loss of my true friend Michael. He was an extraordinary friend, artist and contributor to the world. I join his family and his fans in celebrating his incredible life and mourning his untimely passing."

Madonna: "I can't stop crying over the sad news. I have always admired Michael Jackson. The world has lost one of the greats, but his music will live on forever! My heart goes out to his three children and other members of his family. God bless."

Lisa Marie Presley: "I am so very sad and confused with every emotion possible. I am heartbroken for his children, who I know were everything to him, and for his family. This is such a massive loss on so many levels, words fail me."

Quincy Jones: "I am absolutely devastated at this tragic and unexpected news. For Michael to be taken away from us so suddenly at such a young age, I just don't have the words."

Liza Minnelli: "He was a kind, genuine, and wonderful man. He was also one of the greatest entertainers that ever lived. I loved him very much and I will miss him every remaining day of my life."

Corey Feldman: "I come to you today with great sadness, acknowledging the loss of the greatest entertainer in the history of mankind. For me he was more than that, he was my idol, he was a role model, he was someone to cry to when my childhood was unbearable, he was a brother, he was a dear friend. Unfortunately Michael and I had a falling out on September 10th 2001 and that broken friendship had never been repaired … I am filled with tremendous sadness and remorse. All I choose to remember from this point is the good times we shared and what an inspiration he was to me and the rest of the world. Nobody will ever be able to do what Michael Jackson has done in this industry, and he was so close to doing it all again. I am truly, and deeply sorry for all of the heartbroken fans and supporters worldwide."

The only "falling out" MJ and Feldman had was the condom from the latter's puckerhole.

Sad, sad day. People need to stop being so fucking hateful. Ok the man was a freak but cant we have a little compassion now that he finally died?

***

I don't have compassion for men who like to have young boys sleep in their beds. I don't have compassion for people who think it's a great idea to give children Jesus Juice.

Go ahead and have compassion for a man who fucked up the heads of little boys because he was a star who could.

This is such sad business. I cant believe he is dead!!!

I used to clean my room to his music blasting in the background. I couldnt even understand what he was saying and I knew all the lyrics.

Sushi ~ Lisa Marie did say YEARS later that MJ was very disturbed and troubled (a freak).

And for her to say that.....well, the public can draw their own conclusions about MJ's personal life.

He didn't see color or race - he sang of this in many songs.

****

Yes, he broke many racial barriers. Like when he decided he didn't want to be black anymore. And when he decided to procreate, he chose a white woman.

I don't know if he was as choosey when it came to little boys, as he did seem to fancy Webster.

Here's to 23 hours and 45 minutes of continuing MJ death converage and a measly 15 minutes of Farrah Fawcet death coverage.

Although the only celeb that I truely felt anything for who died was Kurt Cobain, I still cant help to think that FF's memory is getting the short end of the stick...

It like the media is goin on and on about a man who wasnt the best role model rather than concentrating on the better role model, but it's the media and whatever gets them ratings and more $$
********************

WOW - you youngsters never seize to amaze me! Michael Jackson is an icon. He gave atleast 30+ years to a music industry. You are obviously too young to comprehend that, especially if you can only feel for the likes of Curt Cobain!! You missed Michael when he was in his prime. Which for the record was from the age of 10 to his late 30's! He is up there with the likes of Elvis and the Beatles ... not Mr. Cobain. Michael Jackson was a role model for many ... he was an extraordinary talent who worked with many of the great ones! He didn't see color or race - he sang of this in many songs. We should all be a little more like him in that respect. His last 10 years were very sad. He was an emotionally damaged man. Face it, Elvis was drugged out - which eventually led to his death and Curt Cobain killed himself! Are those great role models for anyone????

p.s. unfortunately for Farrah - her death has been overshadowed by Michael's - he was unexpected and that's a shock for the world right now. Farrah was fighting a long battle with cancer - which we all knew she was losing. It was inevitable. The media will always go with the bigger story. Just the way it is.

FF was big in the late 70's and 80's but in a different way, I guess... of course MJ is going to get more coverage, he had a cult like following.

Sad to think that even in death celebs have the "who's dick is bigger" contest...

I'll refrain from posting further, unless I am quoted, because I dont really care about either of them.

Didn't he come out a few years ago saying that he was molested and everyone assumed it was Whacko? It almost seemed like he really wanted everyone to think it and then quickly denied it was Whacko.

It's fucking bullshit from hypocrites both celebrities and common folks.

,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

No offense to Farrah. I lked her and all. Though her Charlies Angels days and poster were before I was born.

But she wasn't a huge global star. She may have been once. But for good or bad Michael Jackson is a MUCH bigger star. Therefore he'll get more coverage. Even if he hadn't died Farrah's death would have gotten fairly good coverage for a day or two then the media would have moved on. Ed McMahon waas arguably a bigger star then Farrah and he didn't get much coverage. And David Carradine was much more relevant to today because of the Kill Bill movies. Farrah hasn't done anything huge in years. Sorry but I'm surprised she's getting the big coverage she's even getting.

I saw plenty yesterday on both Farrah and Michael. Entertainment Tonight devoted the whole 30 minutes to her. Maybe Michael overshadowing her is a good thing. Her family can mourn in relative peace.

I'm willing to bet that the autopsy will reveal he offed himself with every pharmaceutical painkiller and other crap on the planet.

He was rumored to be a major pill popper (I have a brother who used to be in the music biz for a long time)....MJ's pill popping habits was well known and a closely guarded secret. Especially since he had kids. If it came out, he would have lost custody immediately.

MJ also had a VERY dark side to him, even before he came a freak. MJ was a VERY DISTURBED person.

While he was talented entertainer the fact is that he died a typical celeb death: too many pills, a very dark & shady life and could not live up to his committments (London concerts) so rather than lose face, he decided to check out.

I just heard Usher talk to Donnie Simpson this morning from Paris. He was crying, breaking down, too choked up for words. He said it himself "I wouldn't be who I am if there were no Micheal Jackson." He spoke of the positive things Micheal did in his life, his philantrophy, his breakthrough on MTV and all that came from it, his kindness to fans and peers in the industry, not the bad things.

Donnie told him he had the torch now, Usher promised to carry it high and strong. Bless him.

Agreed. I think he was very talented as a child able to command a stage. But he was a one-trick pony as he got older. His successful records beyond Billy Jean were simply because he was Michael Jackson. You can't tell me that shit video he did with Lisa Marie was really evidence of vast talent.

He built up a cult of fans who just didn't give a shit how fucking weird he was, what he did with kids, or what music he put it. They bought into him and made excuses for everything else.

He, like Howard Hughes, was a disturbed man with a lot of money who completely lost his way, and was further hurt by the synchophants who cushioned him from reality. I feel sorry for him for that. I understand he had no childhood and longed for it. I understand that his brothers called him "big nose" all the time, leading to his disfiguring himself. I'll leave out his publicly disturbing behavior (including that around children regardless of what happened in private).

His death means nothing more to me than anyone else's. Ditto Anna Nicole Smith. Ditto the year 2K version of this pop pap - Britney(when it happens).

He moonwalks his way to hell.
