The Filipino Prisoners Go All Out For Michael Jackson
This is serious. The inmates at Cebu Prison in the Philippines became world famous after their awesome version of "Thriller" hit the internet a couple of years ago. After they heard about the death of Michael Jackson on Thursday, they immediately stopped doing each other in the shower room and started rehearsing for a tribute dance to him.
They practiced late into the night on Friday just so they could debut it today. Their asses even have costumes and props! This is big budget! This makes me wants to dress as a nun and join in.
One of the inmates told The Associated Press that Michael Jackson "inspired us, so we are all sad about his death."

The Filipino prisoners have better manners than the US cons.
But for a man who is so obsessed with youth, so intent on remaining a child, many fear his birthday will be a day of reckoning for Michael Jackson. He has no plans to celebrate, other than in some small, private way with his children.
And this time there'll be no big interview with me - or anyone - to commemorate the occasion.
He has even begun to regret having plastic surgery and spends much of his time staring at his reflection in the mirror.
'I don't know what I was thinking back then,' he recently said. 'Everyone makes mistakes when they're young, I guess. But I still look OK, don't I? I mean, for 40?'
When reminded that, in fact, he was about to turn 50, Jackson gave a sad, half smile.
'It all went by so fast, didn't it? I wish I could do it all over again, I really do.'
But for Michael Jackson, it seems, the time for a comeback has passed. 'I'm tired,' he said last week. 'I've got nothing left to give. I just want to be left alone. Is that so bad?'

WTF this made me cry! This song is too much for me. I think his death just hit home. Say what you want about MJ, but none of us knew him and it's the music that makes people emotional. His death really is sad, especially when I see the videos of little MJ.

I was never a Jackson fan. I always thought he was weird. I liked a few songs, but I have a habit of liking songs and not the artist, he was definitely an example of that. So his death didn't make a blip on my radar.

The whole Michael Jackson dying thing has left me cold. I'm just not moved at all by his death.
When he started appearing on MTV, I was only interested in the punk storm. If MJ came on, I couldn't wait for it to be over so we could move on to the Clash. So yeah, I grew up with it, but it's like listening to Celine Dion to me. I'd rather hear Squeeze and "Pulling Mussels From a Shell" or The Jam, The Smiths, Bauhaus....

It's totally mf'g creepy. I said this yesterday here....I had a conversation with the BH and we're about MJ's age. The BH was saying sympathetic things about MJ and everything came to a screeching halt. I asked him, "If you had the money and the access, would YOU be inviting little boys over to spend the night with you AND sleep in your bed with you??" He got a crazy look in his eyes and looked me straight on and practically shouted (lol) "HELL NO!!" He finally got it when I put it in that context. It's NOT NORMAL to do that!!
Shit, I get nervous when the 13 year old neighbor comes over. I always ask him if his mom knows he's at our house. If he says "no" I make him call her and tell her where he's at and get permission to stay there. We agree on a time when we're supposed to make sure he gets back home. NO WAY am I gonna have a neighbor kid in my house and the parents not know. He's really rambunctious and he likes to instigate wrestling with the BH. The BH is like, NO, quit it, that's enough!

I never bought a single one. But get this, I was at that Pepsi Commercial taping when his hair SUPPOSEDLY caught on fire. They put out a citywide call in L.A. for people to come and be "the audience." I think they paid us each $20. I went with my brother and some of his friends. It SUCKED. We NEVER saw MJ and after sitting for like 5 hours, they dismissed us saying there had been an accident. We did practice cheering quite a bit. LOL.
