My Stomach Just Fell Out Of My Ass

And this time a double-sided dildo was not involved!

You know, I'm not usually afraid of heights, but this video and the pictures from today's opening of "The Ledge" on top of the Sears Tower in Chicago practically made my knee caps crack themselves.

The all-glass balconies are suspended 1,353 in the air on the 103rd floor. One ho said, "It's like walking on ice." No, it's like walking to your death. It's only for kids, because they don't realize that it's real life.

I feel sorry for the janitors, because think of all the pee pee, caca, vomit and internal organs they will have to clean up.

how proud our we? our offspring got our snark!
*****************************

So proud! Sometimes she makes me laugh when I really should get mad, but she's really witty! So what am I supposed to do?! LOL! It works both ways tho, so it's not that bad. My fave is this asshole security guard (that REALLY needs to get fired)she confuses all the time...she always smiles at him real big and says: "Hi, Peter!" His name's not Peter. She's referring to Peter Griffin cuz that's who he looks and acts like.

Women need snark - it's our chief form of protection, right there;)

I went to the top (well, then it was the top)
of the Sears Tower when I was 18. I was on a stop over aboard the LakeShore Limited on my way to Boulder.

(Sigh) Good memory.

If you think the view is scary, you should try the elevator ride to the top.

Just this past month, I was tryna get info on these kids, from other kids, for their graduation. There was this one boy...I said; Camon! You must have SOMETHING nice to say about him....They said: He has a nice sister!

a friend was travveling somehwere & they were REALLY high on the mountains & he needed the loo....long story short he went to this 'toilet' on the edge of a cliff that was designed so you could stand on the edge and piss into oblivion...and there was a hole in the floor so you could drop a dump and watch it fall hundreds of feet down. FUCKTUP!

christine the hoff's picture

believe it or not, we didn't even feeling we were moving. it was strange. once we got there it was a huge room with nothing but floor to ceiling windows, it really wasn't that different from what they just built now.
the elevators are SMOOTH. but I was so way more impressed with the Hancock tower at night. some cool shit right there. can't describe how beautiful it was, looking at a pitch black sky and a million, well, more, lights.

who the hell comes up with this shit?
In L.A. in the tallest building is the U.S. Bank Tower, I used to work there. When I first started there I went to have lunch in their lounge which is some floor near the top. To my shocking surprise the lounge had glass windows all the way around, it was crazy how people could sit there and eat in that place. I never understood it!

christine the hoff's picture

Big deal
I was in Chicago many years ago, we did the sears tower during the day, but was more impressive was standing on the eighty third floor of the Handcock builing at night- the lights truly looked like diamonds on black velvet, it was captivating.
but after 9/11, hell fucking no. I don't even like being on the second floor of shit.

They should make the floor less shiny. If you can see your reflection, you know you're standing on glass. But if it were sort of matte, somehow, there would be the illusion of no glass.

That would ruin the upskirt effect.

does anyone know the Apple store on 5th Ave.? I hate even walking down THOSE steps, but the only alternative is the damn glass elevator, and yes, it's only about 2 stories, whatever....LOL

WORD! I also don't see any of my strong Latin brothers up there... We don't do heights. At all... unless there's at least 10 dollars and/or a few shots of tequila involved.

But I think even the most diligent illegal day worker would have to take a raincheck on cleaning those windows... "I don't think so, pendejo!"

ME! (waving hand in air like a whore waving down a trick). totally get that. I jumped up from my chair when I watched it. Total heebee jeebees

TheStraightMan's picture

This is wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong. No. No way. Walking on glass 1300 feet in the air is the work of satan himself..No no no no no no.

Dammit I wish I could unwatch this!!
What kind of evil mom would let her children do this?!?!

That looks so cool...I'm a little intrigued by it to be honest. I'm sorta scared of heights, but I love riding rollercoasters and shit...you need to scare yourself out of your fears you know?
