Billy Mays Will Never Leave Our TV Screens
The legacy of Billy Mays will live on forever and always!!! Right after his death, Billy's infomercials were pulled from TV and he was silenced. I know, I too felt lost and confused without Billy yelling at me in the middle of the night. Billy was no longer there to comfort me (and make my ear drums throb) with his "Miley Cyrus after smoking 12 packs of Reds" voice.
Well, Billy will finally return to our TV screens again after a two week absence! With the consent of his widow, two new infomercials for Mighty Putty and Mighty Tape will star airing soon.
Billy's widow tells the New York Post it's what he would have wanted, "Billy believed in every product he sold, and he loved nothing more than bringing helpful products to people at a great savings. He always enjoyed meeting his loyal fans and taking time to really talk to everyday people."
If only Mighty Tape could mend our broken hearts! Actually, we should order that shit and try it, because that's what Billy would have wanted!

when were his infomercials pulled? I live in Phoenix and I see him on TV all the damn time. it seems like since his death, he's been on TV even more.

A lot of people were bummed over losing MJ, but I'm really bummed over losing Billy Mays. He seemed like such a happy guy. I'm glad they're airing his commercials, if only for viewers to watch in his memory. He should be remembered doing what he loved and for his cheerful disposition...

Since some people have been mentioning his yelling, the day he died one of the local Los Angeles TV stations ran an interview that they had taped not long before, and he was talking in a normal voice just like everyone else. I kept blinking my eyes because I thought that was some fake Billy, but it was really him. I guess the yelling version of Billy is just his pitchman persona.
I saw a commercial for the Big City Slider Station last night. He's still hawking shit from Seller's Purgatory.

oy! In highschool one of my best friend's family, we called "The Loud Family." I went to their home and had a headache for 3 days after.
They YELLED at each other as if yelling were the normal audio level for human speech. I couldn't believe it.
Now that I think of it, maybe they all had a hearing impairment. Who knows.
Some homes are louder than others. Thank god we can mute the TV at least.

I never stopped seeing them, but then again, I watch TV pretty much every second I'm awake. Well I should say, the TV is ON every second I'm awake. It make me uncomfortable when the house is silent. ANYWAY, since he died I've seem the awesome auger, the mini-burger cooker, the thing that lets you talk hands free in the car and a few others. I think they might be confused because the news has been reporting that he had finished filming his last product commercial and it was supposed to come out in the next few days. His family decided to go ahead with it, but his others were never pulled off the air.
In fact, his son (Billy Mays III) is on Twitter and has retweeted messages from people the entire time and many of them were "just saw him" or "watching him on commercial right now"

A couple of nights ago I was watching some cable channel, and when they went to commercial, I hear, "Hi! This is Billy Mays!" I freaked because I thought there would be some sort of ban on his commericals since he had passed. I'm sure his wife is all for the continuation of the spots since I'm sure she's getting residuals.
Here they pulled his commercials, his sidekick has been doing them. Last night was the first night I saw the putty commercial, and it was with Mays.
OxyClean, Kaboom.....bought those.
I saw him do one recently where other women were with him pitching along, and he's kind of coaching them and saying no, no, no... until they started yelling like him and then he's all smiles! It was really funny watching him goof on himself!!
