What's getting him in the most trouble is the time delay. Obviously instead of calling 911 immediately he took time to remove evidence. MJ was dead for a while but it's clear the doc didn't mean to kill him otherwise he would have signed the death certificate and eliminated the need for an autopsy. Plus apparently he was distraught trying to bring him back.This man is just a simple idiot who just ruined his life and will forever be known as the killer of the world's greatest entertainer...sucker! I was a die hard MJ fan as a kid, I lost interest as I grew up, I still think he was immensely talented and better than Elvis.
That said, while the Doctor is obviously a crook and his dad was a jerk, but MJ was 50 years old and wasn't a stupid person by any means. He appears to behaved like typical drug addict who did what he could to procure his fixes.
Dr. Murray was greedy, he fucked up and now he's going to get crucified, paying the price for ALL THE OTHER DOCTORS that hooked MJ up too.
Joe Jackson comes off as a monster. I'm sure in his own fucked up way, he thought he was doing what's best for his kids and now he's just a sad, doddering old man who's son just died. It's probably humiliating to have the press crucify you for mistakes you've made with your kids, not giving a thought to where you might have come from.
MJ was a grown man who could have sought therapy or healthy alternatives to drugs. There are people from war torn countries who fare better, people need to get a grip and stop painting MJ as such complete victim.

I live in L.A. and I've had to SEARCH for doctors who are NOT corrupt and out for more money. Surprisingly, I've had worst experiences with dentists and optometrists. I had this sick fucker doing a horrible root canal on me (badly anestheticized, I could feel everything) and he was yapping the whole time about Paris Hilton, and how Jessica Simpson used to live nearby, and how he whitened the teeth of Stevie Wonder's wife, and would I be interested in some Botox after he's done fucking me with a drill. I was like, FUCK IT I am going to use that drill on your asshole you piece of shit!! (He also lied about how much my insurance would cover and charged me a fortune for a bad job, of course.)

Sorry but the doctors here are FUCKED UP and I wish someone would do something about it. This guy should get fucked just to show an example, sorry dude.

It's been reported that the family did try an intervention. As anyone whose had a relative/friend addicted to drugs knows, it's easier said than done. I do agree about the shared responsiblity, but in my opinion the scale tips a little bit more towards the licensed doctor.

Not to get all sappy, but I think MJ died from a broken heart ultimately. That last trial did a number on him and was more like an assassination. Many people failed him in his life and in the end, a person can only take so much.

But in a way you ARE alseep. You're kind of drifting along on a cloud not really knowing what the fuck is going on. But at the same time you are sort of alert. And when it wears off you feel like you've been asleep. When actually, you sort of..... wasn't asleep.

Im amazed at the comments about a doctor not giving you what you want. You pay the office visit and you can get a prescription. EASY PEASY JAPANESEY. There are lots of doctors who write for pay.

Dr. Dumbass could have hired any nurse willing to work on the low (we ARE talking about L.A.) for a few night shifts a month to monitor MJ while he was half dead from Propofol. There is a lot of talk about prescription med abuse and how even though the docs are "enablers", it's the addict to blame. First, that's no excuse for these docs. They took an oath and violated it for money. For the most part, there would be no addiction here if these drugs were not so readily available. Who makes them so? The docs.

Second, this is NOT a prescription drug/controlled substance he was given because there is NO reason to EVER prescribe it. Used in hospitals for anesthetic purposes. Period. That's it. This guy 1)took it out of the hospital, 2) gave it to him for "sleep" or other unauthorized use and 3)apparently didn't monitor him. This is NOT enabler. This is a criminal.

An addict can beg, plead, threaten to get a drug like this, but addicts will do that. Docs are paid and trained to know better. They are not supposed to go by what the addict demands but by what THEY know to be right. Murray is NOT some random crack dealer MJ rambled down the street to. This guy took deliberate advantage of someone in severe psychological and probably physical pain. For $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. Absolutely sickening.

He staged those pictures to coincide with a sci-fi movie he was doing. Unfortunately it started the trend of people thinking he was weird.

I think any doc who does what Murray did should be convicted, not just b/c if the fact that the victim was MJ. Prescription med abuse is huge and these docs are the ones who pass them around like candy.

I have always been an MJ fan, but I do agree he became a shell of himself towards the end. His story is a sad one. People can blame his family, but he was his own man and always got what he wanted and didn't know anything else. As much as I wish this all didn't happen, it seems inevitable. He just had to much fame and power to follow the rules. That is bad news for an addict who is in a lot of emotional pain.

How many times a day do I read here "...but he's rich", "well he's rich, so...", "he's rich, and takes good care of people he likes, and who are willing not to call him out on his shit, so...", "well he's got money, and..."?
