Did Paula Abdul Tweet Too Soon?
TMZ is saying that when Paula Abdul announced on her Twatter that she is not returning to American Idol next season, she was basically handing in her resignation. The producers still thought they were in negotiations with Vicodin's forever girl. Basically, Paula quit a job via Twitter. The internet has gone too far.
Apparently, Paula, who made around $2 million last season, asked for a 500% raise. Paula didn't feel loved by the producers when she read that Gaycrest was getting $45 million for 3 years and Simon was getting $100 million per year. When she asked for $20 million, the producers laughed until they queefed and then countered with $10 million. Instead of countering back, Paula decided to Tweet her farewell and the producers took that as her official bow. A couple of hours later, they issued a statement confirming that the crazy has left the building for good. And this morning, the stock for Vicodin hit the sky, because everyone knew where Paula was heading....
This is not the end of Paula on American Idol! I can't wait to see the look on those whore's faces when Paula comes skipping into auditions disguised as a 14-year-old girl named "Skaterina Kat" wearing her outfit from Junior High School: THE MOVIE. We're goooona have a paaaartaaaaaaay!

paula was tripping, she was probably not in her right mind, not saying she does drugs or whatever (she could have a mental illness), but she knows she should've held out. she sure brings the crazy.
ps. i was watching the news (entertainment tonight) and they said that paula said they were too many ppl in her ear talking at once. when that came out, i thought she said she was tired. hmmmm
this has been the top-rated show for years...it has raked in a gazillion dollars and all four actors (last season five.. a mistake) deserve credit (not so much randy, but let's not quibble) for the show's success and to benefit financially for their contributions. if the producers are willing to lose paula over money then they are being very foolish. the show will have officially jumped the shark.
It probably wasn't just the "cheap" 10 million. Seacrest probably refused to give Paula anymore French-benefits.
I hate greedy people. That being said I do agree that Seacrap isn't worth 45 mil and neither is 100 mil for Simon. The whole world is crazy.

$10 mil is excellent for 3 years of work & its not like its 3 years of year round work like a normal person, its for 3 seasons...That being said, if everyone else is making that much more money than she should too...Would it have been so difficult for them to part with $20 mil to pay her proper??? Very doubtful, they just wanted to get rid of her.

Nobody should be getting any kinda millions for the work they do on that show. You give those millions to the grade school teachers - seriously: THAT is a million dollar job, right there. Do YOU want to spend whole days with 6-9 year olds tryna teach them stuff they don't even want to know? School might be a lot more fun if teachers got to bicker about millions instead of thousands...and Personal Service Workers. I'm sorry but wiping poop off old people and hefting them, on the daily, from bed to chair and back just to change some sheets? Million dollar job. Social Workers, helping people fix their major problems even if they made those problems themselves? Million dollars. I can think of a bunch of jobs that deserve millions.
But these bitches? They should get paid what I get paid for bitching about bad performers. NOTHING!

miz abdul, if she asked for $20 million, asked for ten times as much as she was getting. if $4 million is a 100% increase (100% of 2 being 2), then $20 million is a 1000 per cent increase(2, ie 100% x 10).
as one or more of your readers have noted, this money would be much better served in raising the standards of american education - and at the same time reducing the envy and disdain and outright contempt for american culture around the world.

I don't argue that they are overpaid and Hollywood should cap the salaries, but that will never happen, so I'm just dealing with the reality of the situation. In comparison to what the guys make on the show, the supposed offer to Paula is insulting.
For 3 years, Simon will make 15 mil a year, Seacrest will make 10 mil a year, and Paula would make 3.3 mil a year. That is a huge disparity.
I'm positive they'll be able to slip someone new in there for $500k a year and that person will go back and forth with Simon and nobody will notice a thing.

It is sickening how much they get paid. But like overpaid athletes and sitcom stars, etc. they are paid in accordance with the amount of dough they rake in from advertising and viewers. Paula should get equal pay but she's not because AI has it's head so far up it's ass it thinks it can discriminate against one of it's loyal judges and get away with it because she seems to weak. People LOVE to see what kind of freakshow comment will come slurring out of her mouth next. I think AI will get a wake-up call when the ratings plummet. Team pay Paula!

I think the thing people need to remember, nobody watches the show for her or Al Roker (whatever his name is).
People watch it for Simon's comments, and some even like Ryan Annoyingcrest.
I'm sure the amount of people who watch that show for her are the same amount who watch Hells Kitchen for Jean Philippe.
She should be lucky she has a job, since she has 0 talent (remember that awful song she put out with Al Roker?) And she probably could have bumped her pay up to 12-13 million a year.

I know you're making a comparison here, but please think about what you've said. You just said that making $10 million in a year is a slap in the face. Having never made over $150,000 in a year (and having busted my ass to do so), I can tell you that I'd be VERY happy to make $10 million in a year, no matter what anyone else around me was making.
Does she deserve a raise? It's debatable; both gaycrest & cowell are making WAY too much money for this & should be making 1/20th of what they're earning. Just think; the average teacher makes ~ $40,000 per year. Drug addicted abdul, who can barely put together 6 words to make a sentence, made $2 million last year for sitting on her ass & clapping her hands.
Everyone in hollywood needs to be immediately fired & have to work for a living; they'd quickly learn the value of money...
