John Hughes Has Passed Away
John Hughes died this morning in NYC after suffering a heart attack while on a morning walk. John was in NYC to visit with his family. He was only 59-years-old. It feels like the 80s (aka my childhood) is dying and this is sad. Is this Summer over yet?
I must thank John for Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club, Pretty In Pink, Weird Science (my favorite of favorites), Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Planes Trains & Automobiles, She's Having A Baby, Curly Sue, Home Alone, Vacation, European Vacation, Career Opportunities and the list goes on and on....
May John rest in peace.

in the united states alone, about 4 million cats and dogs are euthanized each year for lack of homes to adopt them. YOU can help stop this.. spay or neuter your pet. please don't breed or buy while homeless animals die! and support animal shelters<3
wow thats pretty sad. john hughes made my boyfriend's dad, michael shoeffling who plays Jake Ryan in Sixteen Candles, the it guy of the 80's.
he was a great director and his death has definitely left a mark on the shoeffling family.
I love John Hughes movies! Good thing he was past his prime before he kicked off, giving us all those great movies and shit.

“He’s our generation’s J.D. Salinger,” says [Kevin] Smith, whose film “Dogma” shows its heroes, Jay and Silent Bob, on a pilgrimage to Shermer, Ill., a mythical town that only exists in Hughes’ films. “He touched a generation and then the dude checked out. If it weren’t for him, I wouldn’t be doing what I do. Basically my stuff is just John Hughes films with four-letter words.”

Madolyn: I know you have to come here, but now that you're here, what do you want?
Billy Costigan: You want the truth? Valium.
Is someone got a curse on the '80s? I cannot believe this crap! My teen years were spent watching "The Breakfast Club," "16 Candles"(my fave), "Pretty in Pink", and I know "St. Elmo's Fire" was not his, but hell.
Geez.

On another, more hateful note: seriously, why cant Paris hilton, Lindsey Blohan and Kim Kardassian or Britney drop dead? What have these undeserving people contributed to the world around them aside from excrement and garbage? Shit...
************************************************
I'd like to add Will Ferrell, Jack Black, Nicole Ritchie, and Will Smith to the list please.

Wow, this has been one shitty summer. John Hughes was one of my most favorite film makers...nearly all the movies he made, I loved. They defined an era and maybe I am nostalgic about it, because they defined my childhood in the 80s. His films were the kind that not only grew to your heart because they bore a deeper, yet subtle, message about human inter relationships, but also because they had some sort of an ease, feel-good tone about them - about a world where life is simple, where every day struggles have a soft corner, and where it's just fun to BE. His movies had a kind of loveliness to them and were so relevant for so many people, without making any political or social statements or references.
He always saw the world through the eyes of an adolescent - without real worries and burdens - but with big dreams, ambitions and heartfelt struggles. I deeply admire his work and his passing is a true loss to the entertainment world - especially in the current world of Hollywood populated with unimaginative, greedy, uncreative people off the street.
Thank you John Hughes for all the wonderfully funny, smart, hilarious, positive and encouraging movies you created. Thanks for being someone who truly contributed to his world, rather than just taking from it. You will be missed but your work will live on forever...and so with it, you will.

Is it wrong for a man to have a sugar baby or a woman to have sugar daddy??
It is an absolutely extramarital relationship,
but more and more services came out on Internet focusing on this kind of relationship.
such as ^-^ ~~~ www.SugarDaddyLove.com ~~~^-^ it's the biggest sugar dating for beutiful women and rich men.

i don't know how many more times i'll have to say it this year. but i am SO DONE with 2009.
i practically grew up watching home alone. i must have seen that movie 3 times in the theatre. then i cried when my best friend got the movie on video for his birthday b/c i didn't have it. i had to wait until christmas. it was so worth it.
i remember watching sixteen candles when i was really young. then i got to watch it in high school during the coming of age lesson plan in english class. it was the best film i watched and i loved how it still translated 10 years later.

DITTO! The 80s are my childhood and John Hughes had a HUGE influence. I miss him already! This makes me feel older than shit.
You see us as you want to see us: in the simplest terms, in the most convenient definitions. But, what we found out is that each one of us is:
A brain . . .
And an athlete . . .
And a basket case . . .
A princess . . .
And a criminal.
Does that answer your question?
Sincerely yours,
The Breakfast Club.

Rest in peace Mr. Hughes you are pure gold in the childhood of many of us *tear*
