A passenger on a flight from Vancouver, reported to be fugitive Ryan Jenkins, was taken into custody at a Toronto airport late Friday night.
Staff-Sgt. Keith Brodie of the airport division of Peel Regional Police told Canwest News Service early Saturday morning that an individual from Vancouver was detained at Toronto’s Pearson International Airport at about 11:30 p.m..
“I can confirm that we have a person we have detained for investigation,” said Brodie. “We’re trying to positively identify this individual that we have at the moment . . . for a criminal investigation at this point in time.”

CALGARY — A California coroner's office had to confirm the identity of slain swimsuit model Jasmine Fiore by tracing the serial number on her breast implants.
Farrah Emami, spokeswoman for the Orange County district attorney's office, said Fiore's killer tried to prevent authorities from identifying her through fingerprints or dental records by removing her fingers and teeth.
The brutality of the crime shows how dangerous the killer is, she added.
"Consider how much time it would take to pull out every tooth one by one," she said.
