I think MJ was a terrific showman, not necssarily a great singer or dancer, but a great showman in the tradition of Jolson, Garland, Sammy Davis. These were showpeople and all-around entertainers, and I think MJ belongs in their ranks. My problem with MJ is that he embodied all the usual folklore
about gay men-- that they are obsessed with their appearance, laughably childlike, and worst of

Since school started three weeks ago here in hotter than blazes Arizona, my daughter's third grade class has been trying to master the Moonwalk and standing on their tip-toes like Michael. I know it would make him smile to see that and even in death Michael is influencing a generation. I pray Katherine Jackson will allow Prince, Paris and Blanket to celebrate Michael's birthday. Jehovah's Witnesses don't celebrate birthdays but birthdays meant so much to Michael.
