Noel Gallagher Quits That Bitch
Noel Gallagher packed up his ego (in 3 dozen trunks and 25 refrigerator boxes) and walked out on Oasis last night and he claims this is the end of the end.
Oasis was supposed to play the Rock en Siene festival in Paris last night, but a few minutes before, the crowd was told that the show was canceled due to an "altercation" with the band members. That altercation turned out to be a cunt battle between Noel and Liam. Yeah, squeeze your ass cheeks and try to feel surprised.
The Sun says that one of their regular fights turned into a an all-out bitch war ending with Liam smashing one of Noel's guitars. That was Noel's cue to exit Liam's LIFE. Noel didn't miss one beat and quickly posted this little queef-covered statement on Oasis' website (I guess they didn't lock his ass out yet):
"It's with some sadness and great relief to tell you that I quit Oasis tonight. People will write and say what they like, but I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer."Apologies to all the people who bought tickets for the shows in Paris, Konstanz and Milan."
And this is how Liam feels about it all:

I think it's safe to say that we all co-sign that response.

These guys cancelled a show at the last minute at my only attempt to see them-about 10 years ago in Mesa, AZ. Me and my sister left work early to get to the show on time. We showed up, noticed the parking lot half empty and we were told the show was cancelled. Supposedly due to illness but we know better.
Fuck all the hate. I love to light up to the song Champagne Supernova. And all of you should too ;)

"DAAAAAAAAMN!!!! THIS IS SOME BENJAMIN BUTTON'S SHIT!"
They existed after MTV -and- Vh1 stopped playing "Wonderwall"?
My only other thought is: "........and....?"

@Tristram: Luvs me sum John Hiatt. Thanks! I've never heard that one before. LOL@they all got wet when he smashed that thing. Ha! He even gives a dirty little side-eye. And *sigh* the good old days, when musicians were non-conformist freaks and that was AOK.
It's sad - it feels like it used to be that they were non-conformist freaks cuz they were saying: "No, dude. I have to live in the flow. If I get trapped in your system, I'll lose my flow." and sometimes that non-conformity would set trends.
Now, it's like, knowing that "artists" (becuz art doesn't seem to be that interesting to the masses anymore, really...)REACH for nonconformity with the goal of setting new trends. So contrived.

I have no idea who Noel Gallagher is.
Aunt Bea? Is it true you were also James Haven here or was that just a silly rumor?

ITA. They are known more for their antics then their music. As for RiRi she is just a pop star and they come and go...she's no Whitney.
******************************************
That's fersure! But she dances like her;p
And like someone else said somewhere: Comparing those two to Oasis is like comparing Belgian Chocolate (to make it more even) and the Eiffel Tower. They're just two different things.
If I was going to compare I'd think about Foo Fighters, Greenday, Smashing Pumpkins, Radiohead... you know nineties rock bands (lol which also made me think of Hootie and the Blowfish and Faith No More)...as opposed to New Millenium pop stars...
PS. Hi, Aunt Bea! I feel like I hardly ever 'see' you! I've been bumping in and out so I can't tell if it's me or you...:)

Will you stop fucking referencing me as "none of you losers"?
I don't think the band's that good. Wikipedia din't tell me that. *I* told me that! I do have a right to an opinion, don't I? Fuck!
And seriously wtf do u listen to Kelly clarkson
***************************************
No. Kelly Clarkson gets on my last nerve. PLEASE NOTE THE EYBROWS! I am incredibly proud of those eyebrows - they are among the best I've ever made. I also like the colours in that picture. And though you can't see it here it reads: My Life Wouldn't Suck Without You. Haha! Joke! Get it?
I like Beyonce and I think Rihanna is JUST LIKE OASIS! Cute, fun, timely and passing through. Judging by your Lil Wayne/Blink 182 reference I'm guessing you needed a little help coming up with all those names yourself too.
You know why I went to Wikipedia? Cuz I think they had money. I think they came from money and that's how they were so quickly propelled to stardom. I never said they were a BAD band. Just not nearly as interesting as they pretend to be.
Capisce?
A real music fan would know that.

Yes, LA. It's now 106F in the Valley with wildfires and my central A/C compressor just went out for the 2d time in 40 days. So I'm applying iced bevvies internally.
I thought the Fighting Gallaghers might be Catholic only cuz they're Irish, but many Irish born in the UK seem to be Protestant or alkies.

I read what you and Pleco posted about the Kennedy mass. Ahhnold and his bony wife are devout Catholics. When they're in LA, they attend mass at St. Monica's. Other than all the Kennedys, not sure who else at that funeral would take communion.
ONT: Liam and Noel might well be Catholic. :)

Exactly!! If you drop a diamond, I will be like the dog zooming for the hot dog that fell off the table!!
I'm shocked that Ahnold and Maria go to Mass!

I have a hell of respect for your work as a craftsman/woman, DD.
--------------
Thanks, Sibsi! That means A LOT to me!!
Tucson gets two gem shows a year. The big show is in February. A smaller show is coming up in September. Just about every other man, woman, and child is a jewelry avocationist. We have about 5 bead stores, maybe more. Kind of a big jewelry hub.
People here are a little proprietary about their crafting and sourcing - not very sharing-like (most people are suspicious of jewelry people they don't know).
There's quite a bit of secrecy and bargaining going on. Once I cracked the nut, though, (through persistence) I've figured out where to look for stuff. Like yesterday, I went to this one vintage store on college avenue and found a turn of the century beaded purse made of steel cut beads - for $38!!! Most of them sell for about $120-$225.
Lately, I've been seeing a trend where crafters are taking vintage jewelry (usually singles of a pair or recovered pieces from broken jewelry) and stringing them together with contemporary chains or other material. I'm currently working on assembling a necklace comprised of intact rhinestone broaches on black velvet. One fuckwit, though, is cutting up vintage earrings and making kitchen MAGNETS out of them! I just about had a heart attack in the antique store when I saw that.
I just listed a vintage bracelet on Ebay that I found at a Buffalo Exchange for about $15. It's worth $500. I hope it doesn't sell. I think I'd rather keep it.
Its all about persistence, which can be very exhausting.
