Pebbles The Cat Should Have Sang Back-Up On This

This is Susan Boyle's first single off of her upcoming debut album "Cat Ladies Do It Better." SuBo blows her hummingbird voice all over the Rolling Stones' song "Wild Horses." Personally, I wish she would've switched it up a bit by changing the lyrics to "Wild Eyebrows," but that's just me.

I'm not sure how I feel about this. Parts of it makes my soul wants to cuddle up with a faux fur and sip on Chamomile tea while watching a tear-inducing Lifetime movie starring Melissa Gilbert. But the other parts of it are making my ear hair sweat (I'm getting it trimmed today, OK!).

I'll have plenty of opportunities to completely analyze this shit, because I have a feeling it will be played at every Walgreens, in every elevator and at every single gay wedding. Prepare yourself.

And here's the most FAMOUS woman in the world taking Los Angeles by storm yesterday. SuBo will perform at the finale for America's Got Talent this week. Check your local listings, because there's a bong calling my name and I can't be bothered to look up when exactly that shit is airing.

and i'm 53, but don't allow myself to be limited by the perceptions of other people. so what's your point? that you were hoping MK wasn't fit to lick, and now that you know there's proof otherwise, you'll act like you're too cool to check it out? you lose this round.

but, then again, what do i know?

Is it wrong for a rich and successful woman to have a sugar baby? is it wrong that she falls in love with a handsome and charming man? It's human nature for her to want a younger and more attractive partner. Furthermore, more and more services come out on Internet focusing on this kind of relationship, such as sugarscupid. c o m.

Damn-I really wanted to tear this one to shreds but I liked it. Didn't want to but I like her version. She doesn't sound old to me-most people's voices age but the pic and the voice didn't seem to go together.

i felt like i was in church, therefore i fell asleep 10 seconds into it. but get that shit while you can caterpillar brows!

Y'all remember that movie "Fear"? I love the part where Marky Mark pets Reese Witherspoon's kitty while they're on a rollercoaster and this song is playing. Classic cinema, fer sure.

you can see "our editor"'s picture on his myspace page, and the link is there *points to the top of the page*. and as far as tearing him to "shreads" -- well, let's just say that MK is no perez, and that's a GOOD thing. i have a feeling michael is more often the beggee than the beggar, because dude is HAWT.

Lol Chirio.. Right? you mean the bitches who always bring the AUTO TUNE each time I bet. I'm looking at you, Shitney..

I was not nuts about the dream song but i had no idea how GOOD she is before listening to this. Wow. And the fact she screams at people randomly who harass her in public- loves. She's quite gifted. That said, this is not the kind of music i would buy. She has a ton of talent though, how lovely.

Centaurious's picture

Uh-oh...

I'm cuddled up with my faux fur, sipping chamomile tea and reading D-LISTED right now!

Is that better or worse?

Awesome voice, and good for her

yucko's picture

It's very pretty. Not my thing. I would never listen to this unless I was going for something that could be played in the background that I wouldn't pay attention to. Although imagining wild horses comically dragging her around is kind of funny. Like someone else said--where would they play this? The only place I can imagine this being played is on some kind of sirius "soothing moods" station.

She's talented, but all I can picture is her playing it solo Tori Amos style while flashing her cootchie to the audience.

I loved the Stones version but am not someone who thinks there's only one way to do a song, even a classic. I never heard the Sundays version but will have to give it a listen. Really liked this although the first thirty seconds had me questioning the wisdom of this version...but it did hook me and I'll be listening to it again. Happy for her success.

speakit's picture

I bet she smells like pine-sol.

I have to say I loved that.

"Wild Eyebrows" lol. I can't bring myself to listen to it, somehow.

Liked the Sundays version better.

Absolutely beautiful. That gave me chill bumps. The Sundays also did a gorgeous version of this song. Often I like the remakes of Stones songs better than the original versions. Love Devo's "Satisfaction."

LOL!! Srlsy, I can see (hear) this playing on some AC or even smooth jazz stations though.

It's actually refreshing to hear a female performer not exploiting sex or her dead brother (yes, I'm looking at Toy Toy) to showcase her talent ;)

This version of "Wild Horses" was much better the first time around, when Charlotte Martin did it.

Susan's voice is lovely, but this song does not fit her style. I love this song - and it needs that raw, sexual longing that inspired it. Mick Jagger wrote this about his relationship with Marianne Faithfull and you can sense the real emotion in the Stones' version. This is just boring to me...sorry, Cat Lady.
