Marc Summers - Host of Nickelodeon's greatest show ever Double Dare. Marc now hosts Unwrapped on The Food Network, which always makes me thinks of condoms and lube when I read the title. And more importantly, Marc is now a proud member of the silver fox(?) club:

Oh wow, this is definitely taking me back to when Marc Summers was the hotness.
I never went to Nick studios (because we were broke like that, and mom wasn't too keep about ending up with "pie-like shit" in her hair), but I do remember passing it along the freeway on the way to my step-father's grandmother's funeral down in Miami.

Ye gods I miss pre=Sponge Bob Nickelodeon. That's when all the good shows were on: Double Dare, Are You Afraid of the Dark?, Hey Dude!, Salute Your Shorts, etc. The shows that they got through syndication (hello Count Duckula!) were pretty fab, too.

I don't think I remember Double Dare but I do remember What Would You Do. Didn't they show it like all the time? The only things I watched in my childhood were Niceklodeon and MTV. I wasn't down with game shows but I'll always have a place in my heart for WWYD and Singled Out (with Jenny McCarthy, fuck Carmen Electra, poor man's Jenny).
oh my god double dare i feel so freakin old! its good to see marc summers again though he looks exactly the same. except of course for the headfull sliver. double dare brings back alot of memories.

My best friend and I went to the mall back in like, 1989, for a taping of Double Dare and got to meet him. Pretty sure he didn't shake my hand when I was getting his autograph, lol.

Never knew that he had OCD - that explains so much.
When I was 6 years old my family was on his flight to Orlando. My older sister and I were so excited, so my Dad went to ask him if he would mind shaking our hands and signing an autograph. He said he would, but he never did.
Then when I was in college, his daughter was on a site visit to my school. Everyone knew who he was and a couple of people tried to shake his hand. Again, he refused and was a complete jerk.
If he has OCD, he should at least do that Howie Mandell fist pump thing for goodness sake!

When I was about 8 years old, my family went to Universal Studios in Florida. A couple of people who worked for Nickelodeon came up to us and asked if we wanted to be in the "What Would You Do?" audience. My mom refused, probably because she didn't want to get hit with a pie or slimed or something. I can see her point now, but I still haven't forgiven her.
Also, Marc Summers has OCD, and I remember hearing him on TV talking about how after a taping of Double Dare or What Would You Do? he would take like 6 hour showers. His wife almost divorced him because he would spend hours obsessively arranging the fringe on the carpets in his house. Other than a guy who works on septic tanks for a living, his job was the worst one for someone with OCD to have. LOL why would you take a job that features a Pie Slide or slime?
