Elizabeth Taylor Is Asking For Prayers
Elizabeth Taylor has to go into the hospital to get her heart fixed, and has asked everyone to send her good thought balloons while she's in there. Elizabeth told everyone on her Twitter before those pesky papers got a hold of the info first. Elizabeth wrote:
"Dear Friends, I would like to let you know before it gets in the papers that I am going into the hospital to have a procedure on my heart. It's very new and involves repairing my leaky valve using a clip device, without open heart surgery, so that my heart will function better. Any prayers you happen to have lying around I would dearly appreciate. I'll let you know when it's all over. Love you, Elizabeth."
So check under your bed, seat cushions and panty drawer for prayers (or nice thoughts) to send to Elizabeth.

La Liz is the last living MAJOR MOVIE STAR, she is a survivor and I have a tremendous amount of respect for her.
She obviously has her demons, but she's fought them off forever, and I wish her the best during this difficult time.

Elizabeth Taylor's movies you've mentioned, "Cat on a hot tin roof" and "Butterfild 8" with Paul Newman, "Who's afraid of Virginia Woolf" with Richard Burton are MASTERPIECES. Elizabeth is formidable as an actress.
But my sentimental favorites with Elizabeth are "A place in the sun" with Montgomery Clift and "The last time I saw Paris" with Van Johnson.

I think she has done huge things for charity, esp. HIV/AIDS, especially at a time back in the 80s when all the celebs ran from the subject.
But she's an overrated actress (way overrated), sounds dumb on Twitter (as most people do) and every second announcement is about her ill-health. She's been sick since the 1970s although her bird's nest hairdo is alive and well.
