The Hoff Does It Again In The UK
The Hoff has taken his acts of drunkenness international! While visiting London, The Hoff ended up in the emergency room after going a little too far with the booze. I guess you know you've had too much to drink when a doctor is yelling "CLEAR" in the ER.
The Sun reports that a doctor was called to The Hoff's room at the St. Martins Lane Hotel because he was suffering from the drunk ills in a bad way. The Hoff's inner angry drunk came out when the doctor arrived. Sources say he freaked out and accidentally punched the doctor in the head. Don't hassle The Hoff, especially when the bitch is tanked.
An amublance was called, and The Hoff was shuffled off to a private hospital where he spent 2 days drying out. The source added, "David is very hard to handle when he drinks, often very emotional and aggressive. On this occasion he became so drunk he wet his hotel bed - ruining two mattresses - and was becoming a real pain for staff. His assistant Joe Townley was so concerned he called out a doctor. David was furious and lashed out at him - but mistakenly hit the doctor. They decided they had no option but to lock him in the basement until an ambulance arrived."
This is the fifth time The Hoff has been admitted to the hospital for alcohol poisoning. Although, he has denied it every single time.
The Hoff really needs to spend less time with the sweet nectar (I can't believe I typed that) and more time watching his own videos. Seriously, whenever I need to sober up in a quick second for Sunday morning church, I just watch a few seconds of "Hooked On A Feeling." The booze will immediately evaporate from your bloodstream and your head will be clearer than an exquisite lucite heel.
Oh, and just so you know, no hamburgers were harmed this time.

I can't imagine how his daughters feel. They've got this father who at any moment might drink himself into a coma. They're the ones who will have to live with the guilt if he dies of alcohol-related causes, even though his problems aren't their fault-- there's really nothing they can do. Sad.

I kinda feel sorry for Hoff, its bad enough to have an out of control addiction, must be worse when you're out of control in front of the whole world. I think its a bit harsh to call him (or anyone with an addiction)selfish and they should just stop and put their families first - if it was that easy don't you think they would? Like who says 'no I'll continue to fuck my entire life up and the lives of everyone who loves me even though stopping isn't very hard'. Some people are able to put it behind them and move on, and full credit to you if you have been able to, but others don't have what it takes - even moreso when your brain has actually been altered due to the fucking it has received from substance abuse.
I wonder if this will be blamed on his ex-wife trying to stir up drama.
I also come from an alcoholic family. Out of five kids, I am the only one without a drinking problem. You never know how these things will work out.
If he is still in denial about the reasons he has been admitted to the hospital, he will never recover.
I also read another place about this incident and a hotel guest referred to him as a "big star". Sorry lady, he is a big star only in his own head, maybe that's part of his problem.

My parents had no idea what was coming cause there was no reason to. Also, different generation. The sis and bro turned out fine, and no history on either side of the parents. Oh well....Nothing will ever explain to me or my brain or anyone I know why after doing most of the stuff mentioned in the original post, adding on being arrested (fine, they were anti-abortion protesters), having seizures, losing friends, family.......that I would pick up a drink again. Over and over again. Oh wait.....SELFISH!!!! I forgot.
So - on the other side, it's hell aswell. Big time. The hatred and disgust is mutual - except your's is socially acceptable - mine is SELFISH.

i'm torn with this one...i kind of want to feel bad for him because he obviously has a RAGING problem that tons of money can't even fix...but he has tons of money and could afford the best doctors/psychiatrists/rehabs (if you can call those celebrity playgrounds rehabs)...obviously there are underlying problems (depression, bi-polar, past abuse, anxiety) to have to drink to that point, and no it is not an excuse but some people do have a genetic predisposition that the "normies" will never fully understand...but he needs to hit his "bottom" whatever that is (and sometimes it's death)...i have TONS of alcoholic friends/family members and some quit and never looked back and others have to go to rehab a billion times...who knows...
If he is not going to admit he has a very serious drinking problem he will not be around much longer.
The Hoff seems like the kinda selfish piece of shit who'd go around whining about the 'disease' of alcoholism and all that. It's obvious that the man's too self absorbed to be bothered quitting drinking, even if he destroys his life and breaks his daughters' hearts in the process. So sad.

What happened was, the Hoff took his Antabuse (aha!) and then could not resist trying a drinky-poo (cheers!). Which made him violently ill (blergh!). Which prompted the call by his daughter ("me again!"). Which led to the ambulance ride (wheee!)
Ha ha ha ha ha!! It still cracks me up!
