The Amazing Race: To Push, Or Not To Push
If you agree to go on The Amazing Race, you should be well aware that you will be forced to do some shit that will will make your stomach turn on you and file for emancipation. Whether that be eating Satan-made nastiness or going down a water slide in Dubai. The latter is what totally killed the spirit in Mika's floaties on last night's episode.
Mika's arch enemy is heights so it wasn't exactly a surprise when she freaked out after learning she had to go down a water slide. I sort of felt Mika's pain, because I don't fuck with water slides after seeing a boy shit on one at Raging Waters. However, if a million dollars was at stake, I'd swallow the Valium I hid in my no-no (for this very occasion) and conquer that bitch. A Duggar fetus goes down a water slide every year, so it can't be that bad.
At one point, Mika's teammate/boyfriend Canaan tried to push her ass down while she cried for HELP!!! You know, Canaan went about it the wrong way. What he needed to do was hug her like he meant it, carefully put her on the slide, whisper sweet nothings into her ear and then push her ass when she least expected it! Yeah, her heart probably would've jumped out of her mouth, but at least she would have gotten down that slide!
In the end, Mika refused to slide and her team was eliminated. Canaan said that he doesn't hold it against Mika, but I would've dropped that trick in a quick second. Mika saying "fuck you" to a million dollars over a water slide was hurtful and confusing! Who just lets go of money like that? And IN THIS ECONOMY!?

Didn't they have to go down a hill of snow during the snowman challenge? Hopefully Mika will see a psychiatrist, go to college, get some swimming instruction. Haven't seen anyone so completely intolerable since Jonathan Baker *Under Amour* guy?(I still cringe when I see the brand). It seemed more like a defiant tantrum than getting into the mindset of trying for your team.

I don't hate all roller coasters, just the ones that go upside down. When I was a small child, my parents took my to Opryland in Nashville, TN & put me on a little roller coaster called the Walbash Cannonball. It went upside only twice, but it was enough to traumatize me for life. The thought of being on some roller coaster as it goes upside down & defies gravity terrifies me to the bone. *shivers* I won't even hardly go near a regular roller coaster, & I sure as hell won't go on one that goes upside down. Fuck that shit.
I've been watching this show since season one, and I completely agree with MK in his assessment that Canaan DID go about it the wrong way. As annoying as Mika could be, watching him grab her by the arm trying to shove her down the slide while she fearfully pleaded for help in was downright unsettling. (I guess roughing up your girlfriend is okay, as long as there's a million bucks in it for you.)
(This guy was the same douche who openly declared at the beginning of the race that "he's not with her just because he just wants SEX; he's with her because he LOVES her!")
I have a huge fear of heights, and I've experienced severe panic attacks where I wanted to curl up into a ball and not move. That said, I would have sucked it up and done the damn challenge if I were in her place. But I also would have had the foresight to not pair myself with an asshole who's form of encouragement was to forcibly grab me by the arm and berate me as "an idiot" on television.

We weren't quite in Peru, just the mountains of Eastern Kentucky, but it's still pretty fun (and you can imagine all of the Deliverance buttrape jokes that are constantly made). Now I actually look foward to going camping every year. I'm not crazy about all the hiking, but you gotta take the good with the bad. There's just something about sitting around a campfire on a cool night, eating hotdogs & hobo stew, & then smoking a nice cigarette afterwards that makes me want to keep going back for more.
