DAMN is right. Wowsa - what happened? I mean we all get old, but broke and crazy too? Back in the day in LA, Missing Persons were hot and Dale was the shit. I met her briefly a few times backstage(dated a guy who worked at the Roxy) and she was a surprisingly down to earth and nice lady. Especially striking contrast to how fucking arrogant and unfriendly some of her bandmates were (hello Warren - found a mirror you didn't love yet?).

Too bad her old man Terry can't give her a few pesos to help her out for old times sake.

Dude, Every corner of the earth humanity exists, there are colonies of feral cats......the concept of keeping a pampered pet that never has to "rough it," or even deal with harsh realities of survival is a really, really new concept! Feral cats are nothing more than how cats have been surviving for CENTURIES! And it's not like there is a shortage of them, so they are actually thriving in those circumstances.....rounding them up to kill them just doesn't work as cats will "replenish" an area after they are gone.....they've been trying that tactic for years and it doesn't work.

I remember watching the videos of her on mtv. this makes me really sad. I just introduced my daughter to Missing Persons because I wanted her to see and hear 'real' music.
I don't care if she did leave and go on tour, check on your pets. She could have gone to lengths as to make sure they were being taken care of. I hope she gets help. I saw the pictures and it just makes me so sad. She is obviously not healthy.

Dale Bozzio claims that she hired someone to take care of the cats while she was "on tour", and they never came to the house. First of all, where the hell is she performing on a tour now? She couldn't outdraw the pig races at the Boonville County Fair. Secondly, you don't leave pets in the care of an equally batshit crazy irresponsible wench. This beeyotch needs to be in a psych ward, not a jail cell.

Why do people think animal hoarders shouldn't go to jail but just "need help?" It's exceptionally cruel, egocentric behavior! There's a difference between people in animal welfare that have many animals to contend with and hoarders....but hoarders very often try to hide behind or within animal welfare.
Obviously they are sick, but so are child molesters, rapists and drug addicts.....so they should all get a free pass?

She should be checked by a psychologist, psychotic people tend to have issues with cats for some reason.

Maybe she should be in a madhouse, not in jail... Not that they are very different, but well...

And the litter boxes in the photos are just overflowing with feces.....my cat that came from off the street, will start digging up a houseplant over one turd in the box, not wanting to get his paws dirty-he could always go to a clean spot outside, those cats were trying very hard to be good and kept going in or around what they learned was their "restroom." Many a cat are not so cooperative and will make you sorry if the box isn't pristine. That doesn't seem like feral cat behavior to me.

I just saw those pics and changed my tune. They are disgusting, and no excuse. She deserves to starve like those cats...disgusting human being...I hope she comes back to this life as a neglected cat. I saw those pictures that were evidence in the case against her and they are HORRIFYING....animals locked in a house starving, cannibalizing each other, one looks like it starved to death in a cage....trapped to just waste away...the animals would have been better off fending for themselves outside, at least they can try to hunt a rat or a bird.
There are ways to tend to a feral colony, set up shelters, put out food regularly, make sure the animals are all vaccinated, spayed and neutered. Locking them in your house is hoarding. I tend to think she was just a hoarder or she wouldn't have just "hired someone," and never bothered to check up on the cats. It doesn't have to be 13 counts, one animal left to die in that condition should be enough.
I'm sick of the misconception that hoarders are well meaning people that just got in over their heads.....hoarders are like addicts and don't really care for the animals or they would be able to find an alternative to hoarding. People who care about animals NOTICE when they are suffering or when they have too much to contend with and can stop or get help. Hoarders hide behind or even within animal rescue because there are too few resources and organizations to help every homeless animal. And feral cats especially don't need rescue so much as support.
This is a perfect example of a crazy hoarder taking in wild animals to satisfy her own needs and then jumping ship when she lost interest.

Last week, my beautiful double pawed,all orange tigerstripe with orange eyes kitty boy of 18 months stopped eating. I had been through this before so I knew right away that his kidneys were shot because some fucker either intentionally or unitentionally left out antifreeze for my kitty boy to enjoy. It was heartbraking for my girls and I but we had to put him down because I can't afford dialysis for a cat. He's now buried under a beautiful oak tree in my Dad's yard. I was so sore from digging the grave too, as a truly painful reminder of my loss. I fucking hate people that neglect their pets, cats, dogs, horses, iguanas. It doesn't matter, people that abuse animals are pychopaths capable of commiting the same type of crime against a human. There is no justice for animals in this country. This person is sick and needs serious help. The scariest thought is that this happens all the time in hundreds of homes across this country. Even sometimes to humans, the Sowell case. *shiver*

I adored MP back in the day and Destination Unknown is one of my all time favorites. My ex boyfriend knew her ex husband Terry. NOw, whether she intentionally or unintentionally left those cats to someone elses care it is still negligence. I have baby kittens in my house, and they are under my watchful eye...they are my kids and anyone that does anything to hurt or kill (and yes ignoring an animals emotional/physical needs is hurting them..they are more sensitve and kinder than 98% of the people one would ever meet in this life) as I say critters rule! They love unconditionally and have simple needs, and to be so selfish as to ignore those needs, deserves way more than 90 days. Bad kitty karma is a bitch!!

after looking at the HORRIFIC photos of the cats/house this woman should be voted off the island permanently. there's no coming back from that and she doesn't deserve to be a member of society.
