The newsstand version of PlayGirl Mag closed down officially in Feb 2009...they only remain as a pay/members only website...they are going to issue a special paper version for this dude's pictorial, but that is it...there are no plans for the mag to go back to newstands after Levi's issue...they are done for. Playboy has great articles. The Playboy Advisor is usually pretty funny (NOT as funny as the letters to Penthouse though,) some of the fiction short stories they have are really good and the celeb interviews are usually awesome. Wasn't Playboy where Shia said he wanted to do sex to his mom? That said, I'm not attracted to the majority of the females in Playboy. It's not geared towards me though. But the little survey the centerfolds fill out are usually humourous and filled with lots of little hearts over i's and lowercase j's.
I've read some articles where women that used to work for Playgirl said that the old straight male executives would not listen to the people they hired to market Playgirl to straight women and gay men. The old executives kept pushing the Fabio-romance novel-cheesy guys and that's probably what led to their failure. They would get a good customer base again if they got Johnny Depp lookalikes with big dongs to pose nakes for them.
