I just finished my PhD in Theoretical Physics. (Yeah, I am smart, lol ;-) Earlier in my PhD, my thesis advisor ran out of grants, that is money for the project dried up. That means no money for me. Professor got his fat salary from the University and did not pay me a dime. I took up part time teaching in colleges. I made enough to pay the rent and eat. Fortunately my tuition was not that much because I had finished all the credits. I never complained.
What this woman did was her personal choice. But as a fellow scientist I don't approve. You don't have to get a PhD to get a job. A PhD is about dedication and thirst for knowledge. And in her field of study, Cancer research and Epidemiology, there are a lot of funding. I have friends who are in Biophysics/Biochemistry, medicine PhD program etc. And they are well compensated, at least graduate student wise.
I guess this woman got carried away by the high life of movie stars and sluts like Katie Price displayed in every magazine. I don't believe any PhD student has to 'hook' to pay for education.
And BTW, I am about 100 times prettier than her and about 7 years younger, and not in my worst nightmare would I imagine doing what she did.

People think like simple minded children. What does sex have to do with intelligence or social standing? Hmm, I am a scientist (for real) and worked my way through school doing jobs that did not involve dicks. Instead, I worked honest jobs, took out loans and lived frugally.
