Kanye West's CAPS LOCK Key Still Works!
Entertainment Weekly named Gay Fish's "The College Dropout" as the greatest album of the decade. Unfortunately, Kanye West didn't snatch the mic from himself and declare that "Graduation" was actually the greatest album of the decade before handing the mic back to himself. If that happened, Kanye would get permanently stuck on "mic snatchin'" repeat. I'd buy tickets to that show.
BUT Kanye did manage to pound his CAPS LOCK key to type out a taint hug to everyone (including himself) who worked on the album. This latest post isn't nearly as entertaining (slash dry heav-ey) as his others, but it's been a while since our eyeballs threatened to evict themselves from our head due to reading one of Kanye's posts. So it was worth noting. Just like it's worth noting that Gay Fish was also crowned the biggest FAIL of the year by FAIL BLOG.
Tiger Woods, Glenn Beck, Richard Heene, Chris Brown and Carrie Prejean are waiting in the wings to perform their own mic snatchin' ballet.

Since taste is by definition, subjective, I don't expect to dissuade Kanye's adherents.
I just find nothing appealing in what Kanye does. His voice is mediocre at best, and I doubt speech therapy for his impediment would have helped. His vocals and phrasing have no discernible rhythm, and constantly clash with the backing tracks. Even if it were deliberate(he's not that thoughtful) that doesn't make it even remotely interesting. Clumsily reciting Shakespeare against a backing track by Beethoven would still sound like shit, and Kanye has neither the lyrical or musical skill. Content? He may find himself the most fascinating person in history, but I don't.
Natural musical talent beats formal training, but when you have neither you end up with mediocre, unlistenable trash.
it's true Kanye is a great artist once you snatch away the autotune machine from him.

Yeah he is definitely an asshole, but people discredit his talent and that is what bugs me...kanye is brilliant. He is most definitely on a different level. Most folks dont get him but for those of us that do...taking his talent away is an insult.

Sorry, but amid the Taylor Swift thing College Dropout was a great album and Kanye is an absolutely BRILLIANT Producer. He has contributed to a LOT of hip hop major hits this decade so I tip my hat to Mr west.

I use to hate Kanye I thought he was an arrogant douche I still do. But after hearing Love Lock Down I appreciated him as a musician. When that song came out me and my BF were about to break up and I really conected with that song it was exactly how I felt.

It really is too bad. College Dropout was so promising, the prob is he peaked too soon. College Dropout is his best personal work. After he pulled that shit with poor sweet Taylor, I threw out my second copy of it, ashamed to be overheard listening to it, plus my 14 year old daughter insisted I do it. There are several really good songs on that ablum, but album of the decade, helllll naw!
The Love Below is OK but not Andre 3000's best stuff.
