Merry Christmas, Balloon Boy's Parents Are Going To Jail!
The dumbass duo known as Richard and Mayumi Heene were both sentenced to the clink today for wasting everyone's fucking time with that Balloon Boy charade!
The judge dropped his gavel and declared that Richard Heene must spend 30 days behind bars starting January 11, 2010. After that, he'll serve an additional 60 days under "work release." That means he'll work at his normal job during the day, and spend the night all comfy-like in the hairy arms of his cellmate Pookie. Richard will also be placed on 4 years probation and he will have to complete 100 hours of community service.
As for Mayumi, the judge gifted her with 20 days in jail. Just like her husband, Mayumi also got 4 years probation and must complete 120 hours of community service.
Richard and Mayumi both have to write a letter of apology and they can't profit from the Balloon Boy fuckery for at least 4 years.
The judge didn't say anything about Richard and Mayumi having to pay the city back the $46,000 that was wasted on looking for Balloon Boy.
And now we can all gather up the memories we wasted on these assholes, put it in a Jiffy Pop Balloon and release it into the sky. That's the last of them! Actually, they will probably come back into our lives in 4 years when they remake the Balloon Boy hoax. Everything gets remade. Even this.

UPDATE: per TMZ, a bill for the entire $42k has been sent to the dumbass heenes. Per their attorney, they refuse to pay "until they see copies of receipts for expenses". I suspect it'll be pretty easy to come up with, given that it's county expenses & county governments are anal about accounting for every penny. The Heenes pay for the money they wasted & get abused & beat down! It's a win-win for everyone!

As other posters are saying, I think Mayumi is a passive-aggressive bitch, too. I saw their "Wife Swap" episode and she isn't that meek and passive.
I'm not saying that she is doing this, but I have observed firsthand what SOME people do when they are partnered with a bi-polar bully like Richard Heene. They go along with the craziness but they exact their own revenge and push buttons expertly. They have all the survival skills they need, TRUST. They enjoy the role of "victim" and the concern of people outside the relationship. If they were in a normal healthy relationship, no one would pay attention to them and worry about them and extend offers of concern and help.
It's a sick dynamic, but it absolutely exists. I've seen it up close

You may be right. I remember hearing that Richard was specifically seeking an Asian wife because he wanted someone submissive and it turned my stomach. Also in the morning-show video when Falcon was throwing up Mayumi didn't say anything or stop the interview! And really, what kind of a fucking name is "Falcon" - you KNOW that was Richard's idea. The wife is a passive agressive bitch who I feel no sympathy for. She looks meek, but she's equally responsible for raising those little hellions as well. I saw one of their wife swap episodes and she was rude and crass, just like her husband. It reminds me of a cousin of mine. She was the biggest rottweiler you'd ever seen and married young to this naive kid who had probably never even had a girlfriend before. Fast forward ten years later, and he's a complete asshole and she's always looks so meek and pitiful, like she has no idea why her husband is always barking. You reap what you sow, stupid twat. That's how I view the Heenes as well. The bitch in her amplifies the asshole in him.
As for the Heenes sentence, the husband goes to jail first. After he's done, then it's his wife's turn. The judge wanted to make sure one parent was around.
Come on people, use your heads! They won't be in jail at the same time. She will probably go when he gets home. Regardless, this is another case where the punishment doesn't fit the crime. In addition to jail time, these two should have to reimburse the 46K that it cost the city to search for their boy! Do these people work for a living or do they spend their time shoving their hands down the taxpayer's pockets?
Good - I think their punishment should have been even more severe, though.
