Redmond O'Neal Fucked Up Again
Ryan O'Neal and the late Farrah Fawcett's son Redmond was arrested for the ten zillionth time on December 29th for violating probation while he was out on a 24-hour pass from court-ordered rehab. The LAPD didn't give details on how he violated his probation, but they did say it was a "a drug-related offense."Basically, the bad ginge got caught crack handed.
At a hearing today, the judge ordered Redmond to a 30-day jail rehab facility. Redmond had been receiving treatment at a different rehab facility since September. The judge wasn't exactly farting sprinkles over Redmond's fuck up.
The judge narrowed his beady eyes on Redmond, raised his fist and said, "It seems to me you haven't got a clue as to what recovery means. It's a lifetime commitment. It's grinding, hard, painful work. You are going to stay somewhere at some point. Recovery isn't a walk in the park, you have a responsibility to yourself to stay sober, not your family."
Radar reports that Redmond could get up to 6 years in the chokey for violating the terms of his probation. Redmond will have to show up in front of the same judge on February 2nd. And in a sad coincidence, February 2nd would've been Farrah's 63rd birthday.

I was diagnosed with Bipolar I a couple years ago (it didn't set in until my 40's), & every doc I've dealt with then & since has said that the fact that my biological dad was an alcoholic is how I inherited the disease. No other bipolars in my family & I'm not an alcoholic.
The odd thing is that it was my sister's death followed by the death of the dad who raised me that triggered my drug addiction & manic/depressive ways. That's why I freaked out when Zesty posted here last night so sad & lost over her dad recently dying.
Redmond had a fucked start in life, period. You don't just recover from the issues inherited by having Ryan O'Neal as your dad unless you really want to get better for you.

ITA with your position. I struggled so hard to overcome my addiction with no medical insurance to get any help with it whatsover. I would have killed to be rich just so I could get the best treatment available. It was a real tragedy when Michael Jackson died cuz I kept thinking that he had access to the best help ever, but I guess he didn't want it.
Ryan's sperm is cursed. Beautiful kids with so much potential and it all got shot to hell. Redmond needs to clean up, get his life together, get an education and get as *far* away from daddy as possible.

You can't make somebody get sober and/or clean and stay that way. That is a decision they have to make for themselves. If it is forced sobriety will never stick. Throw his ass in jail when he breaks the law but a judge can't force him to rehab, it won't work.
