Charlize And Stuart Stopped Believin!

This rumor about Charlize Theron and Stuart Townsend breaking up really makes me want to poke a hole through an apple (NOT LIKE THAT), top it with the good shit and puff puff puff away. Actually, I'd probably want to do that even if I didn't read this shit, but now I have a reason!

The Daily Mail says that Charlize Theron dumped Stuart Townsend after 9 years together. Charlize is no longer wearing the commitment ring Stuart gave her. A friend of Charlize's said that she quit his ass around Christmas times, because she no longer felt the tingles for him in that way. The friend went on to say, "They had become more like brother and sister than lovers. It was she who ended it. She truly loved Stuart but the relationship ran its course. He is heartbroken but she is insisting it is all over."

You know what would've saved their relationship?! You know what would've made them fall in love with each other all over again like the first time? Roller skating in each other's arms to "Don't Stop Believin'." Magical things happen when you click your roller skates to Journey:

Then they'd consummate their new love by finger banging each other in the parking lot while a bunch of kids laughed at them. It would've been beautiful.

And in order to support Stuart, Charlize would've turned to a life of murder... Okay, maybe it's best they didn't roller skate to Journey after all.

"Is it just me or does the phrasing of "It was she who ended it" sound incredibly archaic and like something out of a 19th century romance novel? I often notice the "sources" in stories have an odd word order/word choice."

That is sooo true. The sources for every tabloid story all speak the same way. "She ended it" "She's over the moon" "She's happier than ever!" They always have perfect grammar and word order...Why can't the source say "she's aiight since they broke up" or "she hates that pos brad." Just make it sound believable.

...My darling can't you see
My heart sounds just for you my dear...

That was perceptive. I didn't pick up on that.

I know I often choose odd word order and my foreign friends, especially, point it out. Probably why I didn't notice. Well, that blows my cover as a "source".

Anyone who dates for 9 years: something is wrong.
Anyone who says they won't get married until gays can marry?
Doesn't want to marry.
Are you listening, Brangelina?

I second that. I'm 30 and I've figured out kids aren't for me. They dull you. They're for people who are bored with life.

I'm saving up to buy an apartment in Amsterdam where I plan to spend summers smoking my brain out and having sex with various international strangers. Kids don't factor into the fantasy at all.

Stuart was fucking hot in "The Vampire Lestat." Granted, he can't act his way out of a paper sack, but who needs to hear a pretty man talk?

"...#4 shes a dumb bitch for breaking up with a guy after nine years, without at least squeezing out one bebeh..."

Well I say you're the dumb bitch. Since when is life only about squeezing babies out, as you so eloquently put it?
I don't want to have kids, and it's so freaking frustrating defending that stance on a daily basis. Trust me not every woman wants or SHOULD hve kids.
Dumb bitch.

I think a lot of actresses will be breaking up with their boyfriends/husbands right about now since there are all these rumors about Brad Pitt being on the verge of being single again

Bossy, thank you for this take on marriage and commitment.

As for Stuart, I think his dramatic acting sucks balls but he's surprisingly hilarious in comedy. And I don't see anything in wiki about him coming out, so I think its just some random spamming editors going through causing damage to the site.

"Charlize you were the one off-note in Arrested Development, but you can still sit next to me in the "afraid of commitment" area. It's okay."

Mike, don't forget about Julia Louis-Dreyfus's(sp) role as Maggie Lizer. I can't even re-watch those episodes. That was by far the shittiest performance on Arrested Development. Although Theron sucked too.

Just "yesterday" watching a repeat of Will and Grace and boning over the pastry chef - I did a "Wik" and found out about the two of them being together and actually thought it was pretty damn cool. The older I get - the more I think that no one was meant to be together forever - as sad as that sounds. They're a hot couple! Love and life goes on, I guess.

xerquina's picture

oh well shit happens. Charlize will still be sexy.

Soultonic's picture

I really liked these two together but when a relationship becomes like 'brother and sister' then it has definitely run its course.

Good luck to both of them.

Bossy's picture

@Twat Muffin. That I agree is sad, definitely aware that a lot of people don't see marriage as a big deal. I guess what's most important for an individual is that both people in a marriage are on the same page. If one person thinks forever and the other thinks "yeah sure forever, unless it doesn't look so good then we can always just divorce, no biggie" that's when it's a problem.

angel_i's picture

I like to think of Charlize as a lesbian so I didn't even know she was dating this guy, to be honest.

Twat Muffin's picture

Bossy -- I agree with your assessment of marriage, the way an ideal marriage should be. However, I know of so many crappy marriages. So many people are in marriages just for convenience, or, in Hollywood's case, to mask other problems -- hello, Tommygirl. Many people stay in these marriages just because they're afraid of moving on or of losing the money involved in a commingled relationship. Just a few thoughts.

Loads of people still think marriage is the correct validation to show "commitment" for a couple? truly sad.

I see it differently. Marriage can be a correct validation of commitment for some people. I'm a devout Catholic and marriage isn't something just to make me feel good about a relationship, it's a sacrament and a way of being closer to God by loving someone and being faithful to them. So for me, it would be the ultimate sign of commitment. But still, there are many others that don't see it like I do but still think it's the biggest sign of commitment. Vows and promises mean something if you mean them, unfortunately a lot of people halfheartedly go through the motions of saying those words and don't fight for a marriage like they should. Loving someone is a daily action, people don't fall out of love suddenly. If you don't do your part to see the best in that person every day and show your best, things will inevitable break down. Knowing that marriage is considered the most formal way to make that commitment does motivate people to try harder.

Just my two cents and to each his own.

Miami -- where did you find that on Wikipedia about his homosexuality? I don't see anything.

I tried getting into Stuart's show "Night Stalker" as I loved the original so much. The new "Night Stalker" sucked big time and wasn't scary at all.

I guess I'm one of the few that finds Stuart subtly sexy...I liked him in Queen of the Damned. Sorry to hear about him and Charlize because they seemed to be into each other instead of always presenting the image of a solid relationship like the Jolie-Pitts. Stuart seemed to be cool with her being more successful and better known than him and I imagine that's a difficult thing for someone as famous, talented and attractive as Charlize's to find.

WIKIpedia is saying that Townsend "admitted his homosexuality" and that is why they broke up. Is this BS?

If he is gay why would Charlize stay with him for 9 years??
....................................

Maybe he's bisexual, just like a lot of other men. So while admitting publicly to having flings with men in the past, maybe he and Charlize had a genuine loving relationship, including sex.

Hysteria's picture

They look really stoned in that pic. Nine years, wow. Wonder why it took so long to break up.

I always had a hard time believing them as a couple. I couldn't put my finger on it, but I just didn't buy it. I wouldn't be shocked if that blind item was about them. Anyone have the link for it? I have a memory of reading it but can't recall the details.

This one is actually kind of sad...They didn't whore out their relationship for publicity like 99% of other Hollywood couples which I give them props for

I guess they had a good run but Charlize always seemed too good for him. She needs someone who's hotter and wants to settle down already..

After 9 years and not going anywhere maybe Charlize was lookin for something else...like kids and stuff. I'm just saying...they didn't get married, didn't have kids, etc. If you have a certain social standing I guess you want this shit. Look at Tim Robbins and Susan Sarandon, they were married for awhile but together for ages and they still broke up recently. Anyway, enough celeb relationship analysis. Charlize is too generically hot for him, and he's just...not really all that good looking either. Whatevs.

She can do way better than this dude - he has a super creepy look to him. Like the quiet guy who seems normal but pays $5 hookers to shove their 6" stiletto heels up his ass while he sniffs his sister's used panties.

Loads of people still think marriage is the correct validation to show "commitment" for a couple? truly sad. People still think a couple that stays together after so many years SHOULD breed? sadder still.

Commitment means "to show loyalty, duty or pledge to something or someone", but what if love/attractiveness vanishes in a relationship?. You can't force yourself to LOVE (or want) someone just because you have been in a relationship for 9 years and it "means" you HAVE to feel committed!. Fact: all relationships DO have a potential expiration date, it's nothing to fear about. Just enjoy it while it lasts and when it happens to end, end it and keep on walking. Marriage, while is the weapon of choice for most people, still has the potential of ending in the crapper. Difference is, it's messier due to its legal nature.

And I agree, at least these two were bright enough not to breed.
