Next summer, theater screens everywhere will once again be violated by CGI-ed blue creatures who live off the land and whose genital situation is unknown. Okay, their genital situation is not (don't click on that) totally unknown.
Anyenoughofblueonbluefucking, this is the first leaked image of an actual Smurf from The Smurf movie which comes out in July 2011. And yes, it looks just like a Smurf! And no, you're not the only one who looked for a bulge. We should all be committed.
UGO also has a few more details about the movie. Apparently, they are in pre-production right now. The movie is going to be half live-action and half CGI. This mess will take place in NYC, and the Smurf Village will be in Central Park. This does make sense, because I've always pictured Gargamel (as played by Amy Wino) as a Williamsburg hipster who is only grouchy because he can't grow a full beard. Also, you know Vanity Smurf spends his late nights at the Ramble. And don't even me started on Smurfette working the stroll near the West Side Highway....
