Blind Items: I Guess, You Guess
When you are working on a television show the hours are very long and people get to know each other very well. Some get to know each other even more than normal. This new hit network show is one of my favorites and if you have seen it then it is probably one of yours also. Well, on the show there is a C list actor who really has a B list body of work. He is married and has been for awhile. Also on the show is an actress who is much, much younger than our actor but it hasn't stopped them from spending every free moment together in his trailer. She is legal. Barely. (CDAN)
The majority at CDAN seems to think this is about Al Bundy (government name: Ed O'Neill) and his 19-year-old Modern Family co-star Sarah Hyland. I don't even want to think about Al with anybody but Peg, so I'm going to completely ignore the third paragraph in that blind item and guess Kyle MacLachlan and the chick who plays Ana Solis on Desperate Housewives. That image I can deal with.
This director/producer has an admirable list of credits, and is known as a solid family man. However, there’s one aspect of his history that may surprise you. There is a very well-known female actor with whom he is usually credited with helping to make a star. It turns out that the two of them have been carrying on an affair for years. You would have to be really sharp to catch a hint of it in their appearances together, however, as they are both very subtle and very private about it. They’ll be working together again soon. This musician is a very sensitive soul. Apparently, although he pretends to have a very stoic public persona he is actually obsessed with his public image. He follows every possible blog and article written on him and takes it all very personally. When someone comments on a blog, he reads it. He even takes to commenting himself. He does not take criticism well and does all he can to shift with the wave of public opinion. Although this is difficult to those around him, he has found someone who wants just as much attention as he craves, so it works out pretty well. I just looked up Sarah Hyland because I thought she was some other young girl on the show that I'd somehow missed. I was expecting a last name of Kunis - I thought she was Mila Kunis' little sister ever since I saw her on Lipstick Jungle! It never even occurred to me she may not be.

The Tarantino/Thurman guess would be good if Tarantino were a family man. He's not. Neither is it James Cameron (not with that divorce track record) or Michael Bay (who is a known sleaze). It must be someone like Sam Mendes, or Clint Eastwood, or Spielberg (but not Barrymore) or yeah, Cameron Crowe.
Yuck. I think number 1 is Prince, and number 2 could be anyone from any new show. Hollywood is scuzzy like that.

These blind items are always so over my head, but then again, a lot is. At the risk of saying something risqué: I think that Ed O'Neill plays a convincing role in Murder Investigation. He manages makes me forget about Al Bundy, so he can't be all that bad an actor.

Brittany Robertson and Kerr Smith on Life Unexpected. She's 19 and he's 37, hot and recently filed for divorce. I don't know if it's a hit show or not cos i'm not american, but I really like it.

I don't think #1 is Ed O'Neill, I think it's Ty Burrell who plays Phil on Modern Family. Why would that 19-yo girl bang Al Bundy? She wouldn't, it makes no sense. Plus, O'Neill is higher than C list.

For crying out loud...I DO believe about James Cameron and Sigourney Weaver, because Susie Amis (think "Titanic") broke up HIS marriage to Linda Hamilton. In 1988, Susie filmed a movie in Wichita, KS "Twister", which also starred Dylan McDermott. She was married to Sam Robards (son of Jason, stepson of Lauren Bacall). Susie and Dylan "carried on" out in the open, if you call holding hands and shacking up cheating. Shortly after, everyone dumped their spouses, James married Susie, they cranked out three kids, and she looked horrible at the recent Oscars. Been there, saw it, it's true.
