Where Did The Love Go?
Recently imprisoned Quween of the Scene returned to rule her kingdom yesterday, but not everyone greeted her with a welcome back parade. As Mama Betty Rock made her way out of a Beverly Hills medical center, she refused Quween's posarassi protection services. The paps say that Quween and Betty White got into a little war of words.
When did the world start spinning the other way, because a few months ago Betty treated Quween like the fifth Golden Girl? Did Ben Linus turn the frozen wheel again? Why has this dream suddenly become a nightmare?! Is this the beginning of a Quween of the Scene backlash? Will Quween be exiled from the ho stroll? Do we have to pick sides now?
So many life-changing questions that need answers! And if we do have to decide who to hold hands with on the front lines, I have no choice but to rip up my "I Curtsy For Quween" t-shirt and join Team Cheesecake. Because we all know you don't want to be on Betty White's bad side.

Cosign!! I had to deal with quite a few aggressive homeless people and it's not pleasant at all. I usually try to buy them a sandwitch or even a gift card to Starbucks/McDonalds, b/c I don't want my hard-earned money going into their booze fund, but sometimes, they're really adament about getting the money instead of what I'm offering as an alternative. . . they have allergies, they need bus fair, they don't like Starbucks/McDonalds, etc. Eff that sh!t!! I thought beggers shouldn't be choosers!!

As Fat Tuesday or Shrove Tuesday has just passed, that marks the beginning of Ash Wednesday, and Lent. At least in the Western Christian churches – the Eastern Orthodox Church starts Lent on Clean Monday, which is the Monday before Fat Tuesday. For the low and uninitiated, how Lent works is that a person fasts or goes without something for 40 days and nights, excepting Sundays. (Lent actually lasts for 46 days total, so the 6 Sundays are excluded.) You could, say, stick to a budget and give up using credit cards or payday loans, you could give up beer or sweets, or beef. Well…maybe not beer; sacrifices must be made, but giving up beer is too much for anyone.

I have no personal interest in the homeless, not because I feel like I'm above them.. it's just that I don't care. Does it make me a bad person? I don't know, but an internet person will not turn me into the Mother Theresa of the Hobos. Do I give them money when they ask? sometimes, if I have spare change, specially IF they are giving a service in return like cleaning my car or sweeping the sidewalk. I'm torn between giving them money after they do something productive in return or or just saying NO. I know many are addicts or alcoholics with no interest in climbing out of their personal shithole, but some truly try hard to earn a living. Anyway, my point is that I can't take other people's troubles and make them my own.
And I assume this Quween woman is a homeless because a working productive person would not spend so much time harassing celebrities per day. On the other side, most of the time she looks clean. Who knows, I don't care.
Lastly, this "Dlisted is a clique" bullshit is old and stale.

The "homeless" in our city beg and then rent hotels and host drunken parties on their earnings.
There is a huge difference between the drunken homeless con people on the street begging (harrassing) for money than the homeless that actually go to a shelter to survive. The homeless where I live get fed. They use the extra cash earned from harrassing motorists to buy booze and crack.

I agree. Unfortunately, the homeless problem here in LA is made worse with drug use. Trust. I had to have the cops pull a guy off my car- I stopped and he jumped on the hood of the car, screaming & yelling.
I volunteer with the homeless. Unfortunately, for some, it's a lifestyle.

I concur. I learned awhile ago that a lot of the mentally ill are turning to prisons for free health coverage and the whole process just made me sad. I'd like to do something about it someday.

It's a government and societal problem when there are mentally ill people out on the street accosting and harrassing others. I would imagine people here aren't blaming this Quween lady for her troubles, but rather just pointing out that it's not okay to be assaulted like this, and even more fucked up that day in and day out there are people standing around and laughing and egging her behavior on, even justifying her actions. THAT is the sick part.
I know at least in Manhattan there was a serious problem for a while because a lot of institutions and mental health facilities were closed down at the same time without finding proper solutions for the people who weren't equipped to suddenly be on their own and on the streets.

There were quite a few people like this when I lived and worked in the lower east side of Manhattan, and some of the things I saw/people had to deal with... God, I can't imagine how much worse it would have been if there had been paparazzi there egging them on or people laughing and encouraging.
