Canada's Women's Hockey Team Knows How To Party
After Canada's women's hockey team won the gold over the US team last night, they bumped boobs, grabbed the beer and headed back to the ice to celebrate their victory. But not everyone was happy to see them puffing on cigars and guzzling on the sweet nectar on the ice. The buzz killers known as the International Olympic Committee said they will waste time and money on investigating the shenanigans of Canada's women's hockey team. They are dead serious:
The International Olympic Committee will investigate the behavior of the Canadian women's hockey players who celebrated their gold medal at the Vancouver Games by drinking alcohol on the ice.

A lot of the U.S. players were red-faced & weeping afterwards (they must've caught a glimpse of Wayne Gretzky's face in the stands.)
But then, as the camera met the U.S. back-up goalie in the medal-receiving line, girl's all like, "Wheeeeee!!! Woo hoo! Hi, MOM!!!" I thought that was great sportsmanship on her part, despite her teammates' rather pissy conduct.

I lost a tremendous amount of respect for Gretzky when he had his wife take the fall on the gambling bust. I thought that was really weasley. I used to love him, like any hockey fan, and that just turned me way off.
Walked into a lounge last night and this was on...I thought the U.S hockey team were very poor sports about this whole loss. I dont really care about hockey one way or another. But coming from a region where beer and smokin cigs were the main expession of culture, what comes to mind is - tacky.
My gradeschool niece and nephew have been watching the games, looking up with adoration to the great athletes.
Just hoped for something alittle better.
