Hmm, yeah, I do come into work in my uniform, but always appear well groomed and polished.

I'm middle-class, but maybe going to college has something to do with it. A lot of people tend to stereotype college students, but I actually need the money. This isn't just vanity cash.

Not bragging, but everyone who has had an actual conversation with me ends up liking me, so I've also rarely needed to resort to this approach. I'm definitely not a social butterfly, and was bullied throughout gradeschool, but I say that in strict confidence that I haven't dealt with someone who disliked me SINCE high school.

Maybe he's just one of "those" people who were assholes growing up and never changed. There is a common denominator that he never got to know me.

I don't expect to change him, but I expect to exhaust him and fail him by becoming hostile.

I don't know whether it applies to you, but if you come from an upper class background, and dress very tastefully, that may work against you.

I'm not talking about in an office (although it can apply), but you said you were working retail, right? I'm going to say McDonalds.

Now, I know you wear a uniform, but what do you come into work in or do you wear the uniform?

Right away, the loser supervior will asess you and think, she's better than I am, she's just using this job to get somewhere better than I am.

I know it's sick, but this is the way these low-level managers think.

I'm glad you are using my strategies and I hope they help you.

They've helped me alot in my life...in work, the KWK approach, in my personal life, the K approach works better, although I've VERY rarely had to use it.

Occasionally, in work, the K approach must be employed, but only in very selective situations!

OK, this is pretty sad...

but I'm sitting on my neighbor's pool chair robbing their wifi because I am bored to tears with my Mom's Danielle Steele paperbacks.

I don't even know if this will get through, but if so, hopefully someone's still around.

The possum is gone.

My mom refused to stay in a motel, even though she said she would, she said, "I just said that so you wouldn't freak out when you were waiting for me and drinking the margaritas, but we are going home!"

Easy for her to say, her bedroom was locked!

I'm sleeping on the living room couch.

I was like, Mom! YOU sleep in the guest room.

That didn't go over too well.

I looked in the guest room and I didn't see any possum, but it was dark and who the hell knows.

The exterminater is coming tomorrow to look things over, but I personally thing he is coming to get the scorpions, brown recluse spiders, etc. that she really never cares about because she is almost never there.

Also, she never leaves her clothes or shoes on the floor like I do.
