Most cats will pop your eyeballs with their claws if you splash them with even a tiny drop of water, but Prinny is not one of those cats. Prinny loves getting in the pool to do the "pussy paddle" (FYI: Pussy paddle is also what Queen Latifah calls her favorite strap-on).
Prinny's owner says that she regularly swims with her dog friend Bandit at their pool at home. Bandit also gets hydrotherapy for his bad back at a rehabilitation center called Doggy Paddle, and Prinny also comes along for the swim from time to time.

Let me see that cat go in the water upon its own fruition and then I'll believe that the poor thing is enjoying itself. The magic of editing video is you don't have to show the part where the poor cat is struggling with its douchebag owner to not go in the pool. Prinny is awesome....I have one cat who likes it but not enough to swim in it, Im jealous.
I believe that cat is a Persian. I had a Persian who like to get in the shower with me. It was very convenient to wash him. Never fully understood that, but he ended up being a very clean cat!
My avi is my kitteh . He loves water in a sense that he spends most of his time under the bathroom faucet to lick the dripping water. I used to open it a little so that he can drink as much as he wants, now the faucet is leaking on a permanent basis, on its own. That cute bastard kitteh;-)
Whenever I try to give him a bath, its a war. I don't know how other cat owners do it.
When I try to groom him, he likes it in the beginning, then starts to bite me a little. If I continue, he attacks me. That bastard!
He hates to be man handled.
But when I sleep, he behaves like the sweetest kitteh in the world, he curls up next to my feet and sleeps very soundly. I mean I have woken up in the night to find my feet totally on his tiny body, and he would be sleeping, without any problem!
I'm sure there are some cats out there that like the water, but that kitty is not one of them. Poor thing.
I would like a world where pets can do this type of shit to their owners.

My cat used to sit on the edge of the tub while I took a bath. Until the one night she jumped a bit too hard and slid off the ledge and into the water.

No, it's not because they're lazy, it is because cat fur is very closely attached to the body and because of that the hair dries up very slowly and that makes cats get hypothermia in a snap because of the cold wet fur. So it's a matter of life and death in most situations. Cats CAN swim very well if they have to(in order to catch fish for example), but most of them are just afraid of getting hypothermia. Dogs are a different story, they shake a little bit and then they're fine, because their fur has a different structure.

The pussy is all good. The cat paws at the side of the pool a few times, but she wasn't ready to get out just then. At one point, she's on a step half out of the water, changes her mind, then swan dives back into the pool for another lap. She knows how to get out if she really wants.

We don't have flashplayer here so I can't watch it. I appreciate what you guys are saying because now I won't watch it when I get home. I was hoping it really would be a kitty liking the water but judging by the comments here, it isn't. When will people understand that animals are not here for our entertainment? This kind of thing enrages me. Our cats like to jump into the shower after we're done and stomp around in the leftover water but if you try to get them in when the water is on, they'd hurt you trying to get away.

Exactly!!! All I saw was a cat in a pool struggling to get out of it. All cats *can* swim, but that doesn't mean that they want to.
Just because an animal will do something doesn't mean it's enjoying it. She spent the entire video trying to get out. Maybe if there was more footage we'd see her enjoying it? We know that adorable Sphinx cat you posted loved water. Now that was awesome!
My cat jumps in the shower every single morning when I get ready for work. He gets behind me so I block the water and does "laps" by darting out from behind me to the front of the show gets out, boots to the back and jumps back in again. When I turn the show off he licks at the water stream as is slowly drains from the faucet. I love my little boooger! ( why do I feel like I'm writing a grade three story all of a sudden? )
Poor kitty. The dog is adorable, though, with his life vest on. Love that he is in water therapy for a bad back.
My cat would hop her crazy ass in the shower with me but then she would try to get out before I was through and this is when chaos would ensue.

watched without sound on and got so friggin' angry when they wouldn't help the poor thing out of the water that i started screaming at the monitor for them to help the cat out of the pool. i hate fuckers who film shit like this and laugh and think it's funny. they probably kept putting the poor thing back in the water, it looked so panicked.
reminds me of the asshat parents back in the 80's who would film their kids falling asleep in the highchair while eating and the kids head falling forward and then jerking back suddenly - after i saw this on Americas Funniest Home Videos a couple of times i was furious.
