Betty White On The Passing Of Rue McClanahan
Betty White, who is the last Golden Girl sitting on the rattan sofa in the living room, was asked to comment on the loss of Rue McClanahan and she said this:
"Rue was a close and dear friend. I treasure our relationship. It hurts more than I ever thought it would, if that's even possible."

Yes, indeed. She played the role of a stripper/burlesque dancer in that film when it was still very taboo to take on those roles. Also, she had burned her face off in a kitchen accident while making this film and had to do scenes wearing really heavy make up to cover the burns...you can't see it because it was B&W. Now that is dedication.
Rue was a classically trained dancer and actress and worked really hard to get where she finally got...she was not a floozie who landed roles because of giving BJ's to directors like the talentless crackheads we have nowadays.

Rue was my favorite golden girl. It takes a lot of talent and energy to maintain that type of sexual tension. I'm sure going to miss her!

Agreed, I took video production in H.S. in the mid 90's and every single video I made, I dubbed the pixies over the audio (unless my goth partner made me use Alien Sex Fiend) You should have seen the looks on my classmates faces!
