Chelsea Clinton Is A Married Woman Now!

I'm taking a quick second from slurping up my pre-dinner snack of ice cream soup and a cup of vodka with a splash of tap water to bring you the news that Chelsea Clinton, the curly haired girl we watched grow up and master the art of the blow out, married Marc Mezvinsky in Rhinebeck, NY today.

Chelsea and Marc said all that I do shit in front of 400 people including Ted Danson, Mary Steenburgen and Madeline Albright. Bill and Hillary Clinton put down their plastic champagne flutes, crawled on top of the bridal party table and yelled this at everyone:

"Today, we watched with great pride and overwhelming emotion as Chelsea and Marc wed in a beautiful ceremony at Astor Courts, surrounded by family and their close friends. We could not have asked for a more perfect day to celebrate the beginning of their life together, and we are so happy to welcome Marc into our family. On behalf of the newlyweds, we want to give special thanks to the people of Rhinebeck for welcoming us and to everyone for their well-wishes on this special day."

How can they say all those words and NOT mention how many bridesmaids Bill humped on in the fancy ass Port-A-Potties. Seriously, those Port-A-Potties were meant to do ho shit in. Oh well, the night is still young.

Congrats to Chelsea and Marc! If I was in the area, I'd dress up like Helen Thomas and crash that party, because you know they have some good shit. Not like the generic brand rubbing alcohol I'm sipping on right now.

Here's a few pictures of the locals celebrating Chelsea's blessed day by dressing up as furries and sitting on lawn chairs while holding homemade signs.

UPDATE: I've added a few more pics from the wedding. Chelsea wore a dress she bought from the 50% off rack at Bridal Warehouse. NO! She wore Vera Wang.

A fixed marriage, clearly. By whom someone might say... well, the Illuminati because that's how those families do it. And clearly for another reason, but I'll be a sweetheart and not say it.

Peace.

I think Rockland County people get pretty annoyed if you refer to them as upstate...haha. I think of "upstate NY" as anything north of Westchester and Rockland County. Orange/Dutchess/Putnam Counties count as upstate. Can any New York Dlisters weigh in?

I live in Dutchess County, (Poughkeepsie area) and if you are from the city or Westchester, we are considered "upstate". However, when I travel to visit my cousins in the Albany/Saratoga area, I call that upstate. Bottom line: seems to be that anywhere north of your location is considered "upstate", even when cities like Poughkeepsie are only about 90 minutes north of NYC, and cities like Syracuse are about 5 1/2 hours north of NYC.

Florida's plates with the orange on them are cool. NJ's are boring, so on my old car, I got a jazzed up "Conserve Wildlife" one with a woodpecker on it.

Yeah, Florida's plates aren't that bad, but I absolutely hated living in that state. The summer all the time thing just wasn't for me (I need my seasons, and you take them for granted when you experience them all the time). And the crime? WOW! I thought NYC was bad. Not even close...

As far as the Clintons not helping their niece-- how do you know they haven't and she's pissed it all away? Or that they've tried everything and she's beyond help? And let me tell you-- I have some rleatives that are just fucking white trash, who have been in jail and done the most awful things-- and the other side of my family is money grubbing and worshipping, and I don't really get along with any of them. so before you go criticizing the actions of others, get the WHOLE story.
--------------------------

I can only assume that the Clintons have not helped their niece because this is an old story, that Inside Edition ran first a few months ago, but re-aired this past week of Chelsea's wedding...which sounds like she's still in the same boat. The Clintons don't give a fuck about ANYONE. Bill is part of that sick Skull & Bones shit and also a member of the Bohemian Club: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yEaTKfd-IcY&feature=related (skip to about 50 seconds in...and ignore the David Icke BULLSHIT--this was the only video I could find that exposes both the Satanic Skull & Bones initiation and the Bohemian Grove idol worship).

my dress, at age 40, was a 1950's ballerina style number. i paid 10 bucks for it (from my own store), shoved it in a grocery bag and tucked it into the overhead enroute to the islands. no sleeves, but there is this fucking excellent fashion invention called a shrug. it came with one.

ITA, it's shcoking and weird.

A few years ago, I decided to try and find my "perfect" wedding dress on the internet, well, I went from David's Bridal to Carolina Herrera and everything in between, NO SLEEVES ANYWHERE!

I hate strapless, I would have to have sleeves of some sort. I like the 1940's style of wedding dresse, I guess I'd have to buy vintage or have it custom made.

This strapless look is so unoriginal.

Yes, I agree completely. However, when you think about it, those brides were in their late teens/early twenties because that's when they got married (at least for the first!) back then, and these days brides get married alot later for the most part and have no problem letting aging skin, fake boobs, backfat, hang out, so you can really have anything! :)

I'd probably go with a 3/4 sleeve with boatneck, pearls, lower back, slim but not tight, with a short train. Short veil. Ivory.

That's for myself.

I have always kidded since my 20's that I'll be forced to wear one of those horrible wedding suits, but now I've added a walker, since I've never married at this point!

Still, I could wear that dress I described above for awhile, it is pretty classic.

I loved Jackie O's dress when she married JFK, but VERY YOUNG, not for me. Same with Grace Kelly, in fact I did not like her dress.

Liz was great! :)

If you want sleeves, you will have to make it custom made or go for the mother-of-the-bride. For some reason, only the mothers get sleeves. Not even the bride's maids get sleeves.

OMG, I went to one expensive wedding were the bride's maids wore black short dresses with cream shawls and parasols. I cannot tell you how tacky that wedding looked with..drum roll..purple and black mums for the bouquets! It was something out of the Addams' Family. Money can't buy taste, that's for sure.

Actually, it sounds very promising to me. The Clintons have always been about the money above all else, so Chelsea is marrying into a family not very different than her own. They'll hang out with their Hollywood buddies and keep making millions while lecturing everyone else about not sacrificing enough to help the sick and poor. Whatevs. Chelsea is fug but looks happy and that's what counts.

I will weigh in on the strapless debate to take the edge off my earlier posts. (I've also had a little Crown Royal.)
The strapless thing is just a fad that's lasted longer than it was supposed to. It's like the 80s dresses- you couldn't find anything without big poofy sleeves and a bow on the butt. When I got married in '94, The dresses were more streamlined and off the shoulder, but still I had the big bow on the butt (as the drag queen at my bachelorette party asked me over and over,"Does your dress have a big bow on the butt?"). My older brother and sister got married in the 70s and it was all about mint green polyester tuxes and thin polyester dresses with cap sleeves. Oh, and brides wore hats. Godawful, nasty hats. My dress for my brother's wedding was yellow gingham with eyelet trim. I was 15 and miserable.
There are some trends that just shouldn't come back. I don't want to see strapless for decades. It's toe-up.

Thank God I'm an agnostic

Can anyone out there answer me this question. Why has this strapless sleeveless style dress taken over the entire planet? And it has for sure - it began about 10 yrs ago & it's taken over in every country.

You see big fat girls wearing it & they look like squashed sausages. You see super skinny girls & they look like wire coathangers.

Straps, sleeves, necklines - where did they go??? That's what I've wondered to myself a billion times.

I am an..um..older bride and this look does not work for me. I looked high and low for a dress that was reasonably priced AND covered my arms. All I found were matronly mother of the bride wear OR the princess look like what fug had. I had NO options.

I liked an evening dress with lace/chiffon over silk by Alexander McQueen and had that made for me instead.

Can a designer come up with something else?

I am talking Tony Randall on What's My Line old. Green Stamps old. Rich Little old. I mean the stereotypical manner one expects of an old-fashioned queen. I think these days the two orientations, straight and gay, are sort of melding together, one group appropriating characteristics of the other. I think Mrs. Campbell's style is not of the 21st century, or even of the last part of the last century. I think this kind of gay went out in the mid-80s. Unless as an object of ridicule, I'm not sure it belongs here.
