So far it's been an awful weeks for dogs and their admirers. Yesterday, my heart broken into a million sharp pieces that stabbed giant holes into my soul after I watched the (don't click unless you want your day completely ruined) worst video ever made. AND NOW THIS!
TMZ says that SamRo's pet bulldog Cadillac has been sent to live on the East Coast after he allegedly bit a 2-year-old Maltese named Tiger. No, Cadillac does not only eat pussy :( Tiger the Maltese later floated off to the great big velvet dog bed in the sky after she died from her injuries. Apparently, this isn't the first time Cadillac has attacked another dog in the building. Cadillac just got back from doggie behavior camp.
The attack happened yesterday morning at SamRo's apartment building in West Hollywood. SamRo was asleep when Cadillac bit at Tiger and Tiger's owner in the hallway. Neither dog was on a leash and nobody knows how Cadillac got out of SamRo's apartment. Animal Control showed up to investigate and after speaking with SamRo, they decided not to bring Cadillac in.
SamRo Tweeted her sadness about Tiger's death:

It *has* been an awful week for dogs. I had my 13 year old Beagle put down yesterday. He had bladder cancer. And then last night, my other two dogs got in a tussle and one ended up getting three staples in his leg from a gash. It was a bad day.
My condolences to SamRo and the owners of Tiger. Accidents happen, and they suck.
Bulldogs aren't a typically aggressive breed, either.

Anyway, now that I actually read this post and all of its comments, I'm all for screening all prospective pet owners.
Who wants to bet that Samantha Ronson's dog became aggressive because she failed to raise the animal properly? That's usually the case.
Maybe this will teach all of these other vacant assholes that pets are more than fashion accessories and actually require CARE.

Whenever I was 11 years old, I literally watched my four year old Samoyed die. My family and I had to witness his suffering without knowing what was wrong with him until much too late. An hour later, he died. I cried for days. Several days after this happened, we discovered rat poison inside his bowl. From then on, we never left the dogs' food outside again. We never discovered who did it, but we have an idea who...
It still makes me sad to think about to this very day, and right now my Great Dane is very old and very sick...this makes me upset.

There is no way I am watching that video...I can't even watch movies where an animal gets hurt. I'm glad you posted it though MK, and gave us a heads up first. I hope they catch the psychos that did that...poor little defenseless puppies. :(
RIP little Tiger...I hope her parents sue Ronson's ass off. That is one of my worst nightmares, and I'm always on guard when I walk my chihuahua. I've had to grab him out of harm's way too many times because there are so many irresponsible dog owners out there. There should be way harsher penalties when this kind of awful thing happens.
People ARE evil and are capable of doing much worse. Drowning puppies is tame compared to the genocide that's happening in some countries in Africa, for example... and there's nothing much we can do about it. It has always happened and it will keep on happening. Sad but true.

I didn't watch the video nor do I intend to. I know all too well how fucked up people can be. My little pom Jack for the first time in 11yrs had to have x-rays to find what was wrong with him, and they found about 8 pallets in his body--HE WAS SPRAYED WITH A BB-GUN. I was shocked. And when I told the vet I got him from the humane society in AZ, he said he wasn't surprised at all. Thank god it's not harmful for him to live with this in his body, but it made me so sick to know people would shoot at him. Those are the type of people I wish would kill each other. How terrified my Jack must have been. I really hate people sometimes.

Wow. My dog has dog aggression issues due to a questionable past (he has scars on his ears, so he may have fought). He is also a Boxer, which is not thought of as an aggressive breed. I can't imagine a situation where he would just wander out. When I take him out on walks he must always be on leash and I warn other dog owners if they try to let their dogs come up to him. However, if they get close, he goes ballistic. Of course, I make sure he never gets close enough to do anything and I am always on high alert for dogs. My biggest fear is something like this happening, but as a result I am super protective.
PS- That dog-throwing p.o.s. needs to be drowned herself.

The puppy video, while abhorrent, is graphic proof that there is indeed, terrible animal cruelty going on every day. I think that MK gives us the choice to look (or not) and see (or not) the actual proof of such criminal actions. I'd rather MK continue to give us the choice. He does warn. If seeing that awful video saves only one defenseless puppy then it was worth posting, IMO.

I agree with that. My dog got in a few scuffles (Hey does your dog start fights? No - but he finishes them!) - he was very big and alpha - he got attacked lots. But he never killed. If he had, and I know it would have been in self-defense FOR SURE. but still...I may have put him down. Cuz once a dog kills once, it's a different dog. Altho we came away bleeding a few times, my dog never drew blood - he fought to fight, not to kill. Also he'd never bite an animal smaller than himself. He might step on it to hold it's crazy ass down but that's it.

If Tiger was a model, Sam's looking at not only the cost of the dog, but potential loss of income from modeling assignments.

I volunteer for a local animal shelter (and adopt all of our animals). I don't think one can imagine the fucking cruelty that people can come up with, it amazes me every time I go in (my little dog was used as a bait dog for dog fighting). It's funny that people will pay the gas to go to the animal shelter, wait in line, fill out the forms and a bunch of other bullshit all to drop off a cat with her kittens or a dog with her puppies when they could have just paid the $35 to have them fixed...WTF? I just like to think that they have souls like we do and I am looking for good karma, and the general public is fucking stupid.

One of my two dogs is adopted from a pound in Florida. She was put in a bag and thrown, along with the rest of her litter, onto the side of the freeway. My girl is the only one who lived.

Aw! That's tragic. At least she was blessed with you:) But serious - there was a guy in Cali a few years ago now who buried this dog's pups right in front of her. Took her all day but she got out of her restraints and dug them up. They ALL lived and THAT guy was put away too.
I'm just tryna balance this all out with some justice. It does come. Not as fast as we'd like it too all the time but I believe really strongly in universal balance. What you put into life is what you get out.
